    Re: Han Solo um....solo film

Born in 1970, I have seen every Star Wars film in it's original run multiple times. Except for the Last Jedi. This time last year I was all in on this. Now, after TLJ, I'm on the fence. Maybe I'll see it in a theatre. Maybe I won't. At least there won't be a Death Star or Star Killer in this one. Orrrrr will there?

Alden Enrenreich (Solo) has revealed that he's signed on to play Han in three movies. This one and two others.

The TV ads for this movie makes me not want to see it. It seems like a frickin' comedy.

It absolutely is. As it should be. Han Solo is the fun rebel, always crackin' jokes and laying down one-liners.

Oh I know, but the level of humor seems a little offputting. It's no wonder they had to bring in Ron Howard to "save" the production. I'm sure i'll eventually see it though at some point.

                          Han Solo um....solo film

Saw a screening and I wouldn’t worry about the humor as It’s Han Solo, Chewie, and Lando after all. I’m not going to give much thoughts about it until after it comes out but it was really good and I’ve been skeptical about this since announcement. There’s something in this movie that made me definitely geek out more then anything in the new trilogy which I’ve enjoyed so far

I've heard from one reviewer that Chewie got a lot more to do in this film than the past couple he was in. He is a big Chewie fan so he was really happy to see that. I'll see the film in a week or two just have to decide when.

Didn't like it very much. Something happens that won't make any sense unless (this might be a spoiler in itself)

and I haven't so I didn't care. I liked the Han-Chewie relationship and the droid. It sounded like Donald Glover was doing a weird accent at some points. It's a very impressive film visually for sure.

Having seen this last night I can say I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable this was. I was a big time skeptic when this was announced and Han was cast. I thought Glover as Lando would be the only positive of this but I got a little more enthused as the movie came along with trailers and what not and sitting in the theater I had a MUCH better time than I did with Last Jedi and the cameo in this one blew me away. If you’re a Star Wars fan, I think you’ll enjoy this film unless you’ve just convinced yourself you hate its existence already. You go in open and not looking for a reason to hate it and you’ll leave satisfied.
