I read a unique theory how Bran the Builder is somehow connected to the Bran we know. They even make the comment on how, "She gets her Brans mixed up sometimes."

No it wasnt me. Im not on Neogaf but with as much info as some people have on the GoT universe the theory was probably stated way before my post. Lol.

Left her with a man who he knew EXACTLY what he was capable of and would do. Raped her man, freaking raped her.

That dude is nothing but a typical power craving sociopath, setting things up to benefit him, and only him at the expense of anyone. No empathy. People are expendable to him. They will get their army another way, without having to be in debt to that psycho.

I read the Bran the Builder theory. That he might actually be Bran the Builder, traveling back 8,000 years to build the wall to keep out the threat long enough for his birth to start this chain of events. It's a cool theory.

I also saw one asking if maybe Bran is the one whispering to the Red Woman through the fire, showing her that there is a Prince that was Promised that would happen to be Jon Snow. It has made me wonder if Bran might actually be the King of Light but I don't know enough to make that guess.

I looked through some of Old Nan's stories and it's interesting how a few seem to relate to events we have witnessed, only the names changing and the exact details being slightly different.

        Symeon Star-Eyes
According to legend, Symeon was a knight who lost both of his eyes. He replaced them by putting star sapphires in the empty sockets, or so the singers claim. He fought with a long staff with blades at both ends and would spin it in his hands to chop down two men at once.

        That's Arya's story right now.

"The Prince Who Thought He Was a Dragon"
Aerion was married to his cousin, Daenora Targaryen. Aerion died drinking a cup of wildfire, believing it would transform him into a dragon. He died screaming.

Does that not sound like Danny's brother Viserys?

I do think that many of the events in Game of Thrones are being replayed. Whether that's because the old stories are actually the present stories being told in a causality-loop of time or because history repeats itself, it's anyone's guess.

But the more I look at the past, the more I see the present. It's interesting stuff and I give Martin a lot of credit for piecing so much history into this thing.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Game of Thrones: Season 6

"Hey Bran, don't let an Other touch you, otherwise they'll be able to get in here and mess things up before you're ready." You didn't see this coming, Bloodraven? Or did you always know you were never going to get Bran "ready' before **** hit the fan?

So Hodor held the door, but for how long? As fast as those wights were, does anyone believe Meera will be able to keep up any kind of pace outside of an excruciatingly slow one while dragging the dead weight of big *** Bran?

Of course, they'll still get away though because plot but whatever. I guess this is the way the Others get past the wall as well, possibly replacing the idea of a certain horn being a key to that; if Bran does go south of the wall that is.

"I command you to find a cure."

Euron's baptism: drown him then lay him on the beach and see what happens. "That's not how it works."

This show makes kinslaying cool in this world.

"Hey guys, I killed my brother, your king. Sorry it took so long. Let me be your new king and I'll sail us all around the world to marry this girl I heard about who has dragons. No, I've never met her and yeah, I know, dragons right? Trust me though, this will work. Besides, Yara and Theon don't have penises so I'm kind of all you got. And hey, after you crown me you can help me murder my dickless niece and nephew! How's that sound?"

So Littlefinger is an idiot or he's Sansa's enemy. Well, he is her enemy but she's the idiot. She knows firsthand how manipulative he is but still allows herself to be manipulated by him. If she had really learned her lessons, Littlefinger would be an unmourned corpse in Molestowm and she would have her own nifty little teleportation device to take her anywhere in the seven kingdoms.

Arya finally gets good enough to get the upper hand on the waif while fighting blind then promptly goes back to getting her *** kicked once she gets her sight back. Come on man.

Contrary to the theme of this post I did think it was a decent episode, as good as it gets so far for this season anyway. Bummed out about Summer, they just keep killing killing direwolves. Hodor's story/origin was an old theory and it was cool/heartbreaking to see it finally or rather officially play out. The Kingsmoot was more than a bit underwhelming(as is Euron's character), nothing like the book version but I guess we can chalk that (and the constant killing of direwolves) up to budget constraints.

The way time works in all this is pretty ****ed. Pretty sure he said the past cannot be altered, the ink is dry. If that was true, Bran couldn't have altered Hodor. The only way that works is if the future is already set as well, which I guess very well may be, although that kind of thing ****s all over storytelling IMO. It would explain why no warnings not to be touched, though.

I think there's two left, Jon's and Arya's. Jon's is with him and Arya's is gone, but not dead I don't think. If I recall correctly, Arya chased her away after she attacked Joffery and we haven't heard anything from her since. She has to come back at some point, right? They all do. Well, except:

In my opinion it would have been better for Bran and Meera to have ridden Summer out the door. I mean, remember one of the first scenes in the series showed White Walkers to be super fast, what happened to that? Plus, killing off Summer and Hordor in the same episode was just cruel. I could have handled one or the other, but both? Come on, man!

I don't really see it, but what a season so far, can't wait for next week!

(Potential spoilers below.) Season 6 of Game of Thrones has been one of returns: Jon Snow returning from the dead, Bran Stark returning from puberty, and there’s a great deal of speculation that The Hound will return, too. But it looks like another long-lost character may be returning in the next episode, “Blood of My Blood.” I’m talking about Benjen Stark. We last saw Benjen in Season 1...
