Thanks fellas. I gotcha. Makes sense now.

I gotta go back and watch a bunch of episodes over again. I'm foregetting things. Those chicks who took over that country and killed Cersei/Jaime's daughter with the poison, have we heard anything from them since that happened?

Lady Stoneheart & Hound v unGregor?

The Cleganbowl or whatever people call it in assuming is Hound (Clegan) v his bro Mountain or unGregor. So many fan made nicknames it gets confusing.

I could be completely wrong on the Cleganbowl thing tho.

Edit: damn y'all are fast lol.

No and I can't see how they are instrumental in the end game so maybe they will just be written off.

The whole Dorn thing has been terrible TV. The Jaimie and Bronn scene where they were travelling minstrels in Dorn singing some cheesy song and then dressed up like Dornish guards reminded me of the Tin Man and Cowardly Lion trying to sneak into the wicked witch's castle. It was brutal.

I believe (feel) Dorn will be revisited a small bit next season.

          Sadly.

Since I have never read the books I never know when to ask more questions and when to stop and not get ahead of myself. The lady character you guys mentioned, no idea who she is or what recent episodes ruled in or ruled out. Guess I will just wait and see and hopefully read the books at some point to understand more.

Also, did I read on here correctly that next season is for sure the last season? If that's true, then I understand why people are concerned about wasted time in episodes. I assumed the show was gonna go forever. Changes my perception of some recent things a little, if so

Next season is not the last, but there are only 13-14 episodes left in the show, spread over two years.

So the next season won't be the standard 10 episode format?

Sorry for the dumb questions. I feel like I am an idiot and not understanding really simple things right now

Ok, I understand what you're saying.

Dang that makes me sad. I will miss this show so much when it is gone. I enjoy watching every second of it. The stuff I come on here and complain about is still enjoyable for me to watch, I just like discussing it afterward.

People have mentioned LOST directors and whatnot being involved with the show recently. Have they always been involved, or just recently come into the project?

                        I literally LOL'd at this!
                        I demand a spin-off of this nature.

They should have waited for the books to be completed. I think it was a big mistake to go forward without a defined roadmap, especially when you are letting the Lost directors put their hands on it. It could be a disaster.
                        Lost directors are involved now?
Count me as someone who was ignorant to this information.
If that's the case, I may stop giving GoT's the benefit of the doubt that they can pull it all together.

IMO, since the show stretched beyond the books, the quality has taken a big hit.
Would anyone believe the kind of scenes that Tyrion is in while watching Seasons 1 thru 4? No way. There's no way he'd be involved with scenes that translate to grass growing and paint drying with dialogue written by the cast of Jersey Shore.

I completely understand. The problem is, she learned NOTHING while serving the Faceless God. For the past two seasons she was basically a plant. She sat in a room and did nothing.
They could have at least given her some training so that she was as deadly as the Jr T-1000.
But it seems like she didn't learn anything other than she wants to keep her last name.

I'm with The JareBear in that I'm still enjoying the show.
But it's getting harder and harder to ignore the serious drop-off in writing since the show leaped beyond the novels.

AT what point did the show go beyond the novels? Like, I guess, what is the latest big event in the book, in relation to the show, if that question makes sense. Sorry if it doesnt

They have the road map. GRRM told D&D how the story finishes up and the major plot points. Minor stories and intrigue they have changed (Theon being with Stannis in the North for example) or ignored.

If they were going to wait for the books to be done how would the show look with a 50 year old Arya landing back at Westeros given the pace that GRRM writes.

ADWD was pubished 5 years ago yesterday. It took him 6 years from AFFC to ADWD. His pace has slowed considerable. In six years he published books 1-3. Its took 11 for 4 and 5 and there is no telling for 6 and 7.....

With the amount of re-casts they've done, I'm not sure many people would notice, haha.
Not to mention the fact that the show ignores some story arcs for seasons on end, that most people need to google the characters to be reminded.

So I'm not sure much would change if the show was put on hiatus for 10 years, haha.

lol I am glad you said this. As I was binge-watching S1-S5 there were times where I was like "wait.....that's not the same guy...." and never googled why/when exactly some re-casts took place.
