Do they pay the FBI guy extra to take Martha out to dinner? At least he's not handling dangerous chemicals.

I don't know if the Centre had it happen but that's a pretty good guess. Maybe it was Claudia herself.Comment

Predictable once that sequence started but still powerful.
I figured something had to happen because the rest of the episode was a rare dud.Comment

Wonder if Martha's possession of the Kama Sutra will get Stan The Man interested?
I didn't think it was a dud but it wasn't Top Ten either.Comment

Just read an interview with The Americans' showrunners. They did research on these kinds of Russian executions and this method was actually used to spare the victim any suffering. They used only elite execution squads and when they found one of the squads was making the victims kneel before the final bullet, they fired them. They felt that was dehumanizing.Comment

Stan clearly has some boundary issues. What kind of neighbor just walks into a house without knocking? Especially after he confronts and slams his neighbor into the wall.
Hopefully somebody knocks Stan back down to Earth soon.

I'm detecting sarcasm, but it kind of was huh? I don't like oppressive communist regimes either, but I'll give them credit for showing some humanity.
Having said that why execute Nina when she turned HERSELF IN and was cooperating with the Soviets? How does that merit a death penalty, unless it does boil down to dirty rotten commies?
And was the father using Bizzaro World negotiating tactics on behalf of Nina? Was he too late? Or did he use his influence to put the final nail in her coffin?Comment
