I hate Comcast!!! I hate Comcast!! I hate Comcast!! Sorry, I just got off the phone with their customer service. I only use them for internet and they still can't get the billing right. Worst company ever. Unfortunately it is my only option for high speed internet.

That is 1000 percent the truth, once my cable contract is up I'm going Netflix/Hulu, seriously why are we paying 5 bucks for local broadcast fees and 3 dollars regional sports fees isnt the money for a cable package enough

        Re: Cable/Satellite To Expensive. Alternative?

So i found out I wasn't under contract with Comcast so i dropped the cable in favor of Netflix/Hulu/Funimation/Crunchyroll between that and the Internet we are only spending 90 bucks half of what our bill was

I would suggest anyone who has Comcast and has thought of dropping any service your better off going to a local Comcast office if you have one in your town

Now that Comcast has increased the data usage cap from 300GB to 1TB (welcome, but I still think there should be NO cap) it makes getting rid of cable a more enticing solution. I'm going to give the SlingTV trial a go and see how that works out before I make a final decision.

            Re: Cable/Satellite To Expensive. Alternative?

So my Comcast bill was about $210 a month, this includes cable with HBO and high speed wireless. I couldn't take it anymore a couple of months ago so I called them and told them to turn it off. The first guy I talked to sent me to a "manager" and he offered me a deal I couldn't refuse. It is the new XFinity One system (which I love) the premium package of cable with HBO, high speed wireless, and a home phone with unlimited calls for $150 a month.
I just received my first bill yesterday for this new package and it was indeed $149.99.
I couldn't be happier! Love the Xfinity one system and I now have a home phone.
All I did was tell them that I was switching to Directv (which I cant by the way lol) and told them I was done with them. And like I said they offered me new package that is set for 2 years.

Yeah the X1 is pretty nice. Just got mine several weeks ago. Still thinking about cutting cable though.

I am a cable subscriber for life. I think $200 is a fair price for what I get. I am a Comcast subscriber.

If I could get Mariners games streaming locally I would've cut the cord years ago.

It's honestly the only thing keeping me with cable at this point.

I haven't had cable for over 18 months now, and haven't missed it. I use a Slingbox and Steam Link and it's been great...and $0 per month.

The RSN's you get are hit or miss. I should have Comcast Chicago and FSN KC, Midwest, North, and Wisconsin. I get Comcast and FSN North only, so I only get Twins, Cubs, and White Sox games. For some reason, MLB.tv doesn't black me out on Royals games and I don't care about missing the Cards and Brewers, but definitely do a free trial to make sure you get ROOT up there for the M's. There is no guarantee you will get your RSN.

Fox Sports Go works with Vue now so I get all my FSN affiliates, plus FSN Detroit for some reason.

I've used 400-500 GB a month each month with it, but I also have Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Now, and MLB.tv. I probably have something streaming 6+ hours a day and more on weekends. I have a 1 TB cap so I've never really cared about managing it.
