Re: The Night Of (HBO)
My question is, how the hell does one fall asleep (black out) on MDMA/Coke regardless of tequila? It was more like GHB/Special K or something, lol.
And the sociopathic like response they both had to stabbing her through the hand... maybe we find out he is someone who has psychotic fantasy episodes.
Or maybe he never blacked out at all. We're just getting some of the story. There is no confirmation he blacked out. We assume he did. And he doubles down on that by telling the police that but it could be a cover story."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: The Night Of (HBO)
Our teacher, a former lawyer, gave us a crazy stat that stated 95% of convictions would have never happened if the arrested had lawyered-up immediately (Canada stats).
His advice to us is that if we're ever arrested, and even if we're 1000% innocent, you never ever talk and ask for a lawyer immediately.Comment

I took a law class in highschool so obviously that makes me an expert.

Whether it is Dateline, 48 hours or what ever other show is on.
If I had a dollar for every time I heard a cop or lawyer say "If he would have demanded a lawyer right off the bat and not talked, we would have never been able to convict him" I would be a millionaire.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

I am a ID Channel junkie, I have a problem and I can admit it.

There was a murder in our little town a few years back and the perp got away with it due to lack of evidence. Everyone knew he did it, but nothing could be done.
But a detective from a larger, neighbouring town told the family that if they had interviewed him, instead of the Barney Fife's that did, they would have gotten a conviction.Comment

Some of those I like but I'm not a hardcore viewer. My friend is and he directed me to the Investigation Discovery channel, which some of you may like.
Investigation Discovery
Like I said I am an ID channel addict. Love 90% of the shows on the channel.
Hate Chris Hanson's show tho, is weird as this seems because he became famous for a show that catches pervs. He comes off to me very strange and as a perv himself.
His whole personality and voice creeps me and my GF out.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

I always had an odd vibe with him. He would be able to recite what these creeps wrote, way too well, with zero embarrassment.
Remember that old saying, 'It takes one, to know one'? Ahem, Mr. Hansen.
You know almost too well, sir.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

I wouldn't be surprised in the least if Chris Hansen is arrested and locked up for being a perv someday.
