There are only 4 episodes so far.

Are there no camera's near the front door and back door of this house?
My first thought if I was the detective or the lawyer would be to look for any close camera's that might be in the neighborhood.

Caught up in less than two days and I have no idea where they are going. So, so, good. Kind of wish I would have waited for the season to be over so I could just binge watch it.

                  I wonder about that too.

But I have a feeling that in the end, all the characters are what they appear.
I don't think there's any hidden agenda and there's not going to be a conspiracy of any kind.
And these little quirks, like the lawyers feet are simply to humanize the characters.

Yeah as I watch, and knowing there are only 4 episodes left and NONE have focused on actually solving the case, I don't think it's that kind of show.

I think it's about a single night changing the life of a single person. And along the way we are getting a peak at the different structures of the system, the people living in it, and more.

                          Just an outstanding mini series.

To me it's either the dude that stared him down "The Night Of" or the stepfather.

Something is off with him. And while I realize it is probably a red herring, he may yet still be a key character in the end.

Also....for some strange reason I think this cat that Stone dropped off at the animal rescue/control shelter has some role in absolving Naz when they get into court here in the last 4 episodes.

Tremendous acting and writing in this. Gem of a show.

I think it was mentioned in the first or second episode, that no cameras were there only down the road or something to that effect. I could be misremembering as well.

I'm guessing Stone is going to argue the back door was unlocked in order to let the cat out in the middle of the night. He could raise reasonable doubt that a 3rd party entered the home and committed the crime.

Naz's puffer was in the middle of the murder scene but without a drop of blood on it.
Clearly whoever murdered the girl, left Naz alone and planted his inhaler hoping to incriminate him.

But I'm still not sure how this case is going to go.
We could see Naz vindicated, but we could also see him found guilty due to a flawed justice system and racial stereotypes.

I'm with CMH's opinion that this show seems to be more about the journey and experience of a man accused of something he didn't do than the actual murder case itself.

But I'm really hoping Naz is found not-guilty.
