Re: Cord cutting
Yeah that's not what I thought. I haven't used DVR in a while and you couldn't a while ago, so maybe they changed that in an update or I'm remembering wrong.Comment

Re: Cord cutting
So we moved into this new house about 2 months ago. Our only potions are charter/spectrum and AT&T. signed up for charter initially because the bundle was a pretty good deal. Their service has been piss poor from day 1 though. I had to call them over 5 times in the first 2 weeks for various issues, and 1 of them still hadn't been fixed (got tired of calling).
Id love to cut the cord, but I tried the trial of psvue in the first couple weeks here and the feed was coming through in standard definition (intenet speed is 400mbps). Anyone else experience the lack of HD quality? My spectrum On Demand often comes through in standard and in weird aspect ratios. I'm wondering if the lack of quality of the psvue is at all related (like maybe my houses cable wires aren't very good).

Re: Cord cutting
You can for sure FF thru commercials if you watching them from your personal DVR.
I do it all the time. You simply add them to your favs list, it records them, and you can FF all you want.
You cannot FF thru anything if you just search for a show that has aired and watch it.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

I play the vue through the PS in my living room and my daughter plays it through hers in her room.
Neither of us has ever had a problem at all.
I still love the VUE, I can log into my GF's PS at her house under my name and watch at her house too.
Quite the deal for $50 a month.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

Re: Cord cutting
I have been trying vue for almost a month so I did pay for a month and I am kind of having this issue to and my internet is not 400 like you but still good at like 250. I have been trying vue has really the only reasons I have tv any more is because of sports and the fact that with things like NBA league pass you cant watch games that are on Naturel tv other wise I would just get the passes and not have tv any more. With view I wanted to try it for a few reasons I wanted to known like how the dvr works and if I had enough data to use this. After a month I do have enough data only used like 32% of it during that month and the dvr is nice but the picture could be better. I have comcast cable and the picture looks better than vue picture and direct tv looks even better than comcast but having a dish can be a issue with my apartment I am in with getting reception from a dish. I dont known if I want to have even lesser of a picture if I just do vue has it already kind of sucks knowing that with comcast my picture is already a little worse than direct tv. Some times the picture will get a little bit like SD with the way it looks and another times it looks better and I have tried doing a wired internet connection to see if it helps and it seems to look the same. Kind of seems like vue needs to improve there picture. So we moved into this new house about 2 months ago. Re: Cord cutting
I currently have Direct TV on a promo. Used to have Time Warner which is now spectrum in my area. I find the picture quality is about the same between those two avenues but the satellite has problems in weather. Might not last long but this never happens with cable.
I did the Vue promo and am currently doing the Hulu Live and YouTube TV trials and I can say that I much prefer the interface of Vue over either of those amd the PQ was slightly better. Might be the fact that I am viewing those two trials on a Roku Express while I watched the Vue trial through the PS4.

I have been trying vue on my ps4 but I never had issues in like the 1-2 months I used Netflix on my tv and it was with the same internet and tv and in the same location. Maybe I should see if it looks any better on my ps3 or something.I currently have Direct TV on a promo. Used to have Time Warner which is now spectrum in my area. Re: Cord cutting
i've been having issues with ps vue not loading channels on my fire tvs the past month or so. It not an internet thing because the dvr always seems to work, just seems at random times live tv channels just get stuck on the preface screen with no bars showing.Kenny: Ok Vic, I'm ready for some girl on girl action.
Vic: No Kenny, that's girl versus girl.
Kenny: What's the difference?
Vic: Well, in one, one girl wins. In the other....
Kenny: Everyone wins?!?!

Re: Cord cutting
Any one try youtube tv? I tried playstation vue a few months ago and it was mostly good only picture sucked was worse than comcast and comcast is not has good has DT. Tried Hulu only even when you record something you are forced to watch like 2-3 minute adds on what would be a break instead of fast forwarding back to the game or movie or show or what not and that kind of takes away the point if you have to deal with adds.Comment

I have YouTube TV and it is very good. I've had no streaming issues and quality is excellent. Man if they had NFL Redzone it'd be perfect.Any one try youtube tv? Re: Cord cutting
I am going to try there trial and see how it goes. All I really watch on tv is sports well like 90% of the time I am watching sports and it looks like youtube tv has the local stations and like nba tv, nfl network and tnt so all I really need. Also I cant do like DT now with my TV because I have the Samsung ks8000 tv that is a 2016 tv and it looks like you need a Samsung 2017-18 tv for DT now or a fire stick or something.Comment

Re: Cord cutting
I would recommend a Roku ultra. They go for $60ish on Amazon. I moved on from Amazon streamers once youtube was removed.I am going to try there trial and see how it goes.
