    Drones?

Does anyone here own any drones? I was one of the many waiting for the Lilly Camera to come out. But that company folded. Now I have my eyes on the DJI Mavic Pro. Anyone have one here?

    Re: Drones?

I ordered a Mavic pro but it's gonna be awhile before I get it. I have guest use them at my resort and I got use the Mavic pro and it's amazing. How compact it is sold me and how easy the controls were.

I had the first dji but I ended up crashing it. It was hard to control but the new ones are easy now. I would go Mavic pro all the way, sold out everywhere for a reason

I had a order on amazon. But they keep ****ing with the release time. I was going to order one on bestbuy had it in the cart and was looking for these stupid gift cards I got for Christmas. But the time I pressed complete order... It was sold out. Literally 2 minutes had passed by lol. So I kept my order on amazon until they changed the date again. So I cancelled the order and put it in with DJI. A friend of mine got his in a week or so.

      Spoiler

My brothers wanted to get a Gopro Karma (because we have the camera already). But after finding out about the recalled. That died.... And then I saw

      <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/iPG1Xa5Uqwo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

      I was sold!!

I think I've watched over 200 DJI Mavic Pro videos on youtube lol. I'm waiting for a ship date from DJI.

Question did you get the care package thing?

        Re: Drones?

I was interested in the Lilly too but dji has mastered the drone and you have to think about the software for it as they went through different versions of it already.

I also flown a phantom 3 and 4 just recently and those were great too. The issue I have is the size of the controller. The Mavic is like a slightly bigger ps4 controller. The app on the phone was so smooth too.

The fact it's the size of a shoe when you fold it up is amazing.

I'm impressed with dji's other products too. I just got the osmo mobile and it's great. Best gimbal I ever used, so fun making smooth vids walking across the beach.

I guess mine won't be here until March but that's okay. I'm willing to wait, so far from my research nothing has come close to it.

Not sure what the care package is but I ordered a case for it and I'll probably get an extra battery eventually.

I've read my fair share on DJI. In my opinion they are the leading personal drones company out there. That's why looking back on Lily camera I should of known a start up company with zero drone experience would be be able to put so many different ideas and parts together. I still think a Lily Camera idea is possible (water proof, following programs and all that stuff)

I love the wrist band here. Probably makes for follow super easy. Don't get me wrong. I ordered my Mavic Pro already. I'm looking for less flying on my part. And more following and avoiding things from the drone itself.

Kickstarter and all that has taught me to wait until something's proven!

I'd love a drone but no expendable money right now.

Yeah, nowadays I watch at least a dozen videos of a product before buying it if something over a 100 bucks.

I'm getting so ansy waiting for my mavic pro. I had another guest who had one and was showing me his vids. So amazing, especially using itwhere I'm at, its just beyond my dreams of what you can do with a camera.

I can't see the sunrise since there is a mountain behind me, so he flew it above the mountain like a boss and it was the first time seeing sunrise here. Blown away.

Hopefully as more and more people get these, they respect their area though.

Do you guys have drone laws in your area now?

I'm in NYC (work in Manhattan and live in Brooklyn). There are a bunch of rules and regulations here. I do have parks and other places I can go to. Where are you?

Nice! So the Fly more combo is actually a total of 3 batteries which is awesome, was expecting 2. Saw an unboxing vid and you get a good amount of stuff.

It's gonna be awhile before I feel comfortable flying it over the ocean though but I'll practice just going through my resort and maybe over the hill behind me.

I personally haven't flew one in that range but I heard good things about Syma drones.
