Re: The Americans - Season 5 (March 7th)
I didn't think it was that bad. Pretty dramatic opening with Elizabeth and Philip assuming a parenting role for a Vietnamese kid.
I'm always amused by Stan The Man's insecurity with women. I hope the babe at the gym shoots him down and humiliates him-not because I dislike the character but the show should get him reeling emotionally. Even put Phillip in a position to rub salt in the wound, with the objective of disorienting him even more.
Margo Martindale pretty much wasted in this one.
Just watching the digging made me tired, and the prize confused me more. I do know she was probably infected with biochemicals like William. I saw the head shot from a mile away.
Apologies if I should know the identity of the woman in the metal box.Comment

They dug up William to get a sample of him and the other helper fell and stabbed himself or whatever and got infected so Elizabeth had to take him out.
I cannot ****ing believe they showed all the digging. I fast-forwarded after a while.Comment

Simply calling him 'the other helper' is downplaying it a bit. Killing Hans isn't to be brushed off.Comment

Re: The Americans - Season 5 (March 7th)
Hans was in several episodes, but didn't his appearances in those episodes seem fleeting-even his last one? But you're right, he was a solid recurring character not to be dismissed. Didn't he have the hots for Elizabeth and she shot him down?Comment
