I hate it when networks do that kind of crap. That just leads to confusion IMO.

I really liked The Orville. Episode one, I laughed out loud more than a typical comedy and episode two, I didn't laugh nearly as much but still enjoyed the concept. I've never seen any Star Trek episodes or movies so maybe that makes a difference.

CW looks to be having a series based on the new Sabrina (teenage witch) comics. Made by same people who made Riverdale. From looks of the comic and peoples reactions, seems like it could be some kind of Sabrina meets Buffy type show.

Never got into Riverdale at all, and the Abc series is still obviously what everyone knows about Sabrina, so who knows how this new series will end up.

Season premiere of Good Place was....meh. Felt way too rushed. Went back to the well way too quickly. Pretty much meant nothing.

The different viewpoints leading to tequila shots was confusing. The quick developments that led to the ending have me wondering what they have in store for episode 2. LOL, is there an actual point to Eleanor Shellstrop eating the note?

CBS' Star Trek Discovery first episode this Sunday night.
looks like it will be the only one on regular tv for now.

Can't imagine it'll be better than the Melissa Joan Hart show, but if they take it in a darker direction it might be worth checking in on

They're trying to sell their streaming service (CBS ALL Access) so it will be a long time before they release anything beyond the premiere episode on regular TV. It's possible they will show subsequent season premieres on regular CBS.

I'll re-up my All Access account when The Good Fight season two comes out although I did enjoy the hefty library of Perry Mason episodes.

I don't know the rating of the Star Trek series but The Good Fight's All Access version was edited to show on regular CBS.

As Jaybee said it's the app seller (for lack of a better term) for CBS All Access. I know here in Canada the premiere will air on CTV then all subsequent episodes will be aired on Space then ported over to Bell Media's Crave TV app.

I've never seen star trek before. There seems to be so many iterations with so many episodes, I never knew where or how to start. Only ones I've even heard of were original and next generation one with Wheaton (that one only cause of big bang theory). Would this new one airing make any sense to a new viewer? Is there a starting point in the franchise that needs to happen? Anything specific to or not to watch in the franchise?

CTV is airing 1hr premiere at 830, but I think space has 2 episodes from 830 to 1030.

I'd at least recommend the Next Generation first (178 episodes) and then on to Deep Space Nine (176 episodes).
I enjoyed the original 1960's Trek (79 episodes) and Voyager (172 episodes) but didnt care nearly as much for
Enterprise (98 episodes). its interesting the original Trek had the fewest episodes.
Next Generation, DS9 and Voyager are all pretty much set in roughly in the same time period.
the original Trek takes place about 100 years earlier. Enterprise takes place about 100 years before the original.
it looks like the new show Discovery will be set about 10 years before the original Trek.

Premieres didn't happen yet and already looking like there won't really be anything new I'm watching in the fall.

Inhumans and Black Lightning were the only new shows I was really interested in, and Inhumans looks like it'll be horrible based on reviews, and Black Lightning doesn't premiere until 2018.

Guess I'll actually get to go through with my plan of just recording and delay watching all the weeks shows in 3 days.

lol, all that sounds so confusing and too much to keep up with. New show looks like it'll be good, but several hundred episodes in this franchise...Too much for me just to try out a new show.

If you find it all very confusing than just stick with TNG. You really don't have to know much beforehand and it's a VERY good show. It's my favorite iteration of Trek on TV.

EDIT: for our other Canadian friends out there Space TV will also be airing the After Trek show tonight at 11 and after every episode this season. That's great to hear as I heard that was also on the CBS All Access thing and I was afraid we wouldn't get it.
