For me it's just really a feeling. When my mentality is, oh, yeah I should probably go ahead and watch the next episode of X, as opposed to feeling very excited for a new episode, then I just bail. When I was younger, and there was far less content of course, it was harder to do, but now with there being so much content,( a lot of it great IMO), I don't stay with shows that I think are mediocre.

Re: 2017-2018 TV Season
This isn't specifically about the 17/18 season, but I think its close enough to post here. The fall is a busy time for me (and most people) as far as entertainment goes as I have sports video games, real life football, Netflix and I watch a lot of tv shows. I am one of those people that likes to keep his DVR clean.
So here is my question how do yall make the decision to quit watching a show you have watched since the start ? A example for me is scorpion I use to like it, but now it has gotten to much and all the episodes end the same way. I'm torn on keeping them for a rainy day, but I watch them I find myself just playing on my phone or something and not paying attention.
You could also just stop watching it and just DVR the episodes, and if after a month or two you don't miss it at all, then you can just delete the show and be done with the series. I you do miss it, then watch an episode or two again and see if it was worth coming back to.Comment

Re: 2017-2018 TV Season
Anyone catch The Gifted? I thought it was a nice start and will keep watching. Like that the lead is the actor who played Bill Compton on True Blood. I'm a sucker for the X-Men universe since that was my first love in comics but this seems like it will be a quality show.Comment

Funny enough this is where the Walking Dead sits with me right now. I've watched it from the start all the way through the first two episodes of last season but just stopped after. They are just sitting waiting for me to watch but I'm just not sure. I'll give it another shot here soon but I may let it go. A year ago I would have never even thought to do that but as has been said there is so much good content out now and with most having busy lives you gotta trim the fat.

Yea sounds like yall are right and it might be time to delete a few shows I am watching and un clutter stuff. I always record all the new shows and wait a few weeks before I start any of them up and see how the ratings do.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: 2017-2018 TV Season
Last new show I think I've kept watching has probably been Supergirl, and even that was 2 years ago. Though that one does have little storyline progression, but Melissa Benoist has been the star/only real reason to watch.Comment

Strong start for The Gifted, the only problem area for meSpoileris the actor who is playing the young son. He's not really working for me, but I can roll with it.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Re: 2017-2018 TV Season
I actually somewhat enjoyed 9JKL. Enough to give it another shot despite how annoying the first episode was in some cases.
Kevin Can Wait was awful last night. They really ****ed the hell out of that show, man.
Me Myself and I was really good. Will be watching next week as well.
Fresh Off The Boat premiere tonight, haven't watched yet. I'll also give The Mayor a shot too.Comment

Re: 2017-2018 TV Season
My fall shows:
Family Guy - Solid episode. The "Casting Couch" bit and "I think you knew that" line were great.
Empire - Meh. Lost interest. Still haven't watched the season premier.
Modern Family - Pretty good episode. Cam continues to be my favorite character.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine - Good episode. Captain Holt saying, "Yasss queen" was absolutely hilarious. Hope the prison stuff isn't drawn out.
Superstore - This show is just too good. The fake aisle was amazing.
Law and Order SVU - Still need to watch the season premier, girlfriend said it was pretty good.
The Exorcist - I made sure to watch this by myself before bed, in the dark. Pretty good opening to the season, might be the show I'm most excited about.
Not one of these shows I watched live or even on TV. Slacking.Last edited by legendkiller5; 10-04-2017, 11:25 AM.Rice Owls - Houston Astros/Dynamo/Rockets/Texans - Arsenal - PSGComment

We just deleted Hawaii 5-0 from our recordings after watching the first 7 seasons. Season 8 just started and we got through the episode and said enoughs enough. 2 of the main cast have left and the storylines were just getting too ridiculous, just like Scorpion.
And I'm sad to say but I'm also losing interest in The Blacklist.Comment

I'm in the same boat with Scorpion. My wife wants to continue watching but I think it has turned into absolute rubbish. I surf the net for the majority of it now.
