9-1-1 features some great acting by Peter Krause but his character's dilemma is a terrible overreach by the writers.
    Spoiler

The budding May-December romance featuring Connie Britton is something I hope they put an end too but it looks like they'll keep chugging along with it.

Honestly, I really hate this show. They take interesting premises and create the worst stories I can imagine. I thought opening up the series with the sex addicted douche bag, and then redeeming him was gross.

His budding relationship with everybody's favorite cougar is just as bad. How many times is that little douche going to pick up a call when he is on a call and people are still needing help?

I really wanted to like this show, as I love Connie Britton and Angela Bassett, but too many of the stories are the main characters acting like selfish jerks or morons, and then trying to make them out as okay.

I'm not even near that point but this last episode's bomb is disturbing for lack of a better word. I can't believe they went there.

She's an OK cougar but has no chemistry with this guy. Their banter felt forced and made me cringe.

I liked it, but I've always been a fan of the jerk characters from Sunny so I knew it would be up my alley just like The Mick

I liked it. Glenn Howerton is essentially playing a version of Dennis (ASIP), but they appear to be giving him a little humanity (seems to be sympathetic to the bullied youth).

Unlike l3ulvl I could not continue hanging for The Mick as much as I love Kaitlin Olson.

What a boring February this is looking like. Shows going on breaks until march(3-4 week break in a number of cases) and Olympic events will be happening at time people probably won't be watching live so primetime airing don't mean much unless you can somehow avoid any news. For me, the 1 Olympic event I care about most won't even have watchable guys in it so that just makes it worse.

I'm surprised to hear this from you with Big Brother "celebrity" right around the corner

Not to mention some weird Bachelor "winter games" thing for me (I'm such a dork)

Definitely curious to see what happens with the "prince of darkness" type character, it feels like they have something to build on there. Like the renegade teacher finding commonality with a misfit student somehow, but in humor form

BB celeb I think will be like a car wreck. So bad, but you can't look away. I don't even know the schedule for it lol. Bb19 killed alot of interest in big brother, but now it's gonna be so much back to back. Celeb in February, bbcan in spring, then main one in summer.

But still, it's just 1 show. I like variety. Might finish off friends marathon. At s6 right now. Don't wanna rush, but if nothing else is on, might as well watch more.

Never got into This is Us, but always thought it'd be a hit show. Promos for tonight seem really compelling.

It really is a very well done show. I didn't watch it when it first came out because everybody was gushing over it and I just didn't want any part of that. Plus it seemed to sappy for me. Finally caved when the wife wanted to start watching it very late in Season 1. Damn if we didn't binge that **** in like 4 days (that's crazy fast for us because we don't have a lot of time to watch TV together). Anyways the build up to this episode has been since basically the first few episodes on Season 1. And it was really good.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Would've been a nice show to get in to, but it's just not the type of show I watch. Still caught some scenes from the episode that aired tonight. I only saw a scene or two from the series premiere, and the 2 characters I liked the most were the adopted son and the dad. After tonights episode...

But a real impressive thing I heard about that episode. They edited in the exact SB score into that show. A show set to air right after the Superbowl, and they were still editing it to make it perfectly accurate. Now that's true dedication and attention to detail.

A mini note about the promoting for the show, I like how during the commercials they actually said "Remember to set your DVR time for longer incase the game ends later". Just one of those "little things" that is nice to see. Actual acknowledgement that they know people DVR shows, and actually helping out people DVRing the show by reminding/telling them something to ensure they can actually watch the show. Makes it feel more personalized than just a generic "watch this show at ___"

Haha. It takes a lot to make me cry. Like a lot. In fact my wife trips on how unemotional I can be at times. I always tell her it's not me being unemotional but I just hold that **** in well. But the eyes were welling up a bit last night. The wife was balling hardcore 30 sec in though lol. She kept looking at me to see if I was crying to and think she was annoyed that I wasn't lol.

They didn't just edit in the score. They had the game on the TV in the background multiple times. Commentary from Michaels and Collinsworth too. I thought that was a really cool add in.
