Re: Survivor: Triple H
I'm still mad at that season. Amanda especially, taking out James who basically was her BFF for rest of survivor career. Amanda and James in finals for that season could've been one of best finals ever instead of one of worst that the season had, including one of biggest train wrecks of a winner in survivor history.Comment

Re: Survivor: Triple H
Regarding Ben, I don't have a problem with him winning, his resume was solid, I do have an issue with him being in the final 3 in the first place. He lost! Why did they give him another chance with the fire making challenge? It's like they knew he'd be voted out easily so they concocted a new "twist" to give him another chance. That's a little shady imo. I would've gone with Chrissy. The two of them had the best resumes and it could've gone either way, but Ben shouldn't have been there.
And really, Devon decided he just shouldn't practice. That dude was by far the least deserving of the final four. He had a few moments during the season, including the Ben as a double agent plan, but he was mostly a dumb jock that was easily led. He spoke in cliches 90% of the time, and often, like deciding not to practice, they were used to cover up his weaknesses.
I was kind of hoping Ben would get voted out at some point, but the dude earned his way there. And for as good of an awesome resume as Chrissy had, and I was rooting for her, Ben's was out of this world by the end.
I was also kind of hoping for a comeback win for Ryan. I had told my wife when Tribal started that Ryan's only hope would be to do two things, make Chrissy look arrogant and entitled, and piss off Ben to get him to meltdown. Honestly, he kid of got close. But in the end, all he did was butter up Devon for a sympathy vote.
I thought it was a good season, with some interesting strategy and moments. Docor Mike might be one of the worst players to get as far as he did, and it was really awkward hearing him continue to spin just how close he was to winning at the finale. I would say that by final nine, at least, he was already done. There was no one that could beat left in the game. He would have had to drag Allen and Patrick from early on in the game to the end to have a shot.Comment

Re: Survivor: Triple H
I don't understand the point of ghost island if you're bringing in an entirely new cast, or did I misunderstand? It sounded like they were bringing back all the people who screwed themselves over with the worst moves, but if it's a new cast I don't get it.

Re: Survivor: Triple H
The twist to help Ben was a little fishy but I don't know if I would accuse Survivor of rigging it. All it takes these days is one crew member to sell the team out and that show would lose all credibility and I know I would never watch again.
But given the twist, Chrissy was robbed the million. She hands down would have won had she gotten to the final with Ryan and Devon. I bet privately she was pretty ticked about the change. It ended up being a secret advantage in the game that was actually a disadvantage for her, and at the worse possible time. Too bad she couldn't decline to use the advantage like you can an idol.
