I loved the film but 3 things didnt sit well with me:

1. How they made mysterio not a "true" magic user. It was all technology. Even cartoon mysterio had some form of hypnosis I thought. It reminded me of what Ironman did to Mandarin to a lesser extent. (At least if I'm remembering Mysterio correctly)

2. How they completely "lied" about alternate dimensions. I really lived in the previews how they were opening the universe up too other timelines but then they just throw a "it was all a lie/fake" at us. (Elementals, alternate universes, etc)

3. MJ. I cringed everytime she was on screen. The personality of being this Edgy, dark lord just doesnt fit. I wish they just made a new love interest for Peter rather than forcing the MJ roll on her. Just all the years of what MJ is supposed to be like throws me off, that's why if she was just a new love interest I wouldnt be as distracted by it.

Man I’m still shook from the end credit scenes! That gotta be the best ones since Fury met with Cap to assemble the Avengers.

I loved the movie, that was really fun and I just love Tom Holland, he’s my favorite Spidey ever.

I did like Homecoming a little better because it was funnier but the action was better in this one for sure. Spider-Man 2 and Spiderverse are still my favorites but I would put this at 4 probably.

Gyllenhall was great. His chemistry with Holland was really a highlight, those two need to do another movie together. Loved the bar scene, really good performance there.

Spider-Man mcu villains have been great. 2 for 2 now and we haven’t touched Spidey’s A1 villains yet.

One thing that kinda pissed me off is there is a major scene in the trailers that was cut from the movie. I was actually looking forward to it.

Based on the trailers I saw after seeing the movie (which once again I'm proud of having done, since trailers are pretty much the bane of my moviegoer existence for films I want to see these days), I'd say it's the one where Spidey wrangles up some armed fellers and then has a chat with the police.

Makes me not disappointed that it wasn't in the movie. It also makes me feel like it wouldn't fit with how the film opened, given that he doesn't don the costume for quite some time in an action bit.

1. You're definitely wrong about Mysterio. Also hypnosis isn't some form of magic.

2. It goes along with everything Mysterio was about, and art imitates life with one of his lines from the movie.

3. Again, it's not Mary Jane Watson. Totally different character. But we already had this whole discussion in the Homecoming thread, no need to rehash it.

Personally I love this adaption of MJ. She's hilarious to me. Her and Peters awkwardness around each other is great.

I liked the movie but the novelty of young Peter has worn off to me, he just seems too young. When they were talking about the aging in the blip, I really wished everything had swapped, and you pick up with him in college dealing with everyone coming back and Iron Man being gone. Loved Ned, and the action was awesome.

I’ve seen Bruce though but Hulk has been MIA.
