    Re: Star Wars: Episode IX

Heard you could see John Williams in the movie not sure were but that is pretty cool. There were like 2 main things i hated not sure how to make a spoiler tag for that though. But over all the movie was great. I didn't hate TLJ like a lot of people did in fact i liked it but i think this movie was a lot better and JJ really should have just done all 3 movies. This movie spent some time fix or doing things that i think would have been done in the last movie if it was JJ. My star war rankings now.

    1. Return of the jedi (1983)
    2. The force awaking (2015)
    3. Empire strikes back (1980)
    4. The rise of skywalker (2019)
    5. The last jedi (2017)
    6. A new hope (1977)
    7. Revenge of the sith (2005)
    8. Rouge one (2016)
    9. Solo a star wars story (2018)
    10. Attack of the clones (2002)
    11. The phantom menance (1999)

Top 3 are easily my top 3 hard to decided order on those has they are all so close to me. I think i am pretty sold on this at 4, and my over all list i am pretty sold on. Solo i just found boring and ATOTC and TPM need to be thrown into the trash. ROTS i like over all but its still very flawed. So think you Disney and JJ for this trilogy and for giving me 2 of my top 4 favorite star war movies when i had basically no interest in star war movies any more after the trash that was the prequels.

Seems like Disney didnt have any outline for the trilogy going in. Gave a blank script to each director before preproduction and just told them to wing it.

If anything, JJ should have directed all three or at the least written all 3. EP 9 felt like so much stuffed into one movie.

Im not a die hard SW fan, but my friend is. Hes been ranting (badly) about it every chance he gets. I'm getting worried about him lol.

The critics were wrong. Very wrong This is an excellent movie. I really enjoyed it for what it was. Yea it was a little rushed, but I think they still made a compelling movie with plenty of plot twists and the action was second to none with some breath taking visuals.

Like many have said. Finn is finally given much needed screen time. He's one of the strongest characters in this series and finally was used correctly.

There's alot more to say. But for now I'll just say I'm satisfied and J.J you got the keys man.

Saw it. Not a fan of the sequel trilogy at all. At least we still have the Mandalorian.

I'll give real credit for J.J. trying something in this movie, though (that might have come at the cost of pace):

              Re: Star Wars: Episode IX

I knew right away when a third of the crowd clapped at the end this would be divisive movie and it looks like it here in OS.

Loved Force Awakens, hated The Last Jedi and entertained by Rise of Skywalker but too many plot holes, rushed and tried so much to fix what happened in TLJ.

The whole trilogy was just a mess. At least the prequels had a vision and led right into the OG trilogy it had a road map which this trilogy lacked. They pretty much X Winged it the whole way.

I think this needed to happen so that Disney knows what to do next time and be ready to tell a good story.

I really liked Solo and love Rouge One and Mandalorian so they aren't ****ing up the whole thing.

                  Re: Star Wars: Episode IX

                  My current rankings:

                  - Episode VII: The Force Awakens
                  - Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
                  - Rogue One
                  - Episode IV: A New Hope
                  - Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
                  - Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker
                  - Episode VIII: The Last Jedi
                  - Solo
                  - Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
                  - Episode II: Attack of the Clones
                  - Episode I: The Phantom Menace

As far as J.J. Abrams directorial outings go, I'd say:

                  - Star Trek
                  - Mission: Impossible III
                  - Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens
                  - Super 8
                  - Star Trek Into Darkness
                  - Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker

Upon re-watching The Last Jedi, the part that made me say: "I'm not okay with this" most was Rose saving Finn by colliding into him. There are a lot of things to be against in that film, and that one happened to irk me most. I don't love a lot of things in that flick, but it's good is really fun cinema to watch, that's for sure.

I'd say a line draws underneath The Rise of Skywalker for me, which divides what I consider the good vs. bad SW films.

yeah, RotJ is easily the weak link in IV-VI, I really liked the Jabba palace and sarlacc stuff in RotJ though, but once it got to Endor, well, there are two kinds of people in the world, Ewok people and Jawa people. I'm a Jawa person. Rise had the perfect amount of Ewok scene time for me.
