He has it. But even if he got voted out, I wouldn't have thought it was a bad non idol play. If he uses it, he's safe, but is still the target next time. And in this tribe format, that plan likely sticks.

That's the all or nothing mentality for idol plays. At least for me in some instances. Many would say play it, and being voted out with one for whatever reason would look stupid.

It all worked out, but I think this was actually a perfect time to use his idol, from his perspective. If things went the way he assumed, he would be back in the exact same position after the vote. Once he knew Elizabeth was the target, he could use it to vote out who he chose, and then David’s have the numbers the next week.

But, it turns out the Goliath dude was dumb. He is #4 in a 4 man alliance. He is in trouble. Even after a merge, he will be dead to Goliath, and linked to an outnumbered and weak David tribe. But, man, he must have hated Natalia. She was a perfect cocky blindside, though.

Now, had the purple tribe tribe gone to TC, no one was going to be mad at anyone voting out Natalie. She was a problem that had to be solved, and was worse on a small tribe.

Really rooting for Christian and Gabby. Was so glad to see them win, and that Gabby played such a strong role in that win. She needed that.

Re-watching the tribal again after knowing how it ended, I wonder what really went on in that conversation. What did he tell Elizabeth? And what did he tell Kara?

And that vote off reaction is one of the funnier ones in Survivor. Talk about being mad about being voted out. I'm still waiting for a complete blowup reaction. Probably has happened but we just didn't see (like in a past season of Big Brother, apparently someone refused to leave, so producers had to force/talk them out, but that was obviously edited out).

Speaking of funny moments, during the immunity:
Jeff: (purple tribe) is going nowhere, it's costing them time!
Natalie (immediately after hearing Jeff): What are you doing? It's costing us time!

I liked Natalie's explanation for not giving up her jacket, it's impossible to know if Angelique (I think that's her name) had anything to do with her exit. I wouldn't have given it up either

They've done that before if I'm not mistaken, within the last couple seasons they had the same deal with a hurricane and had to get 'em out

It happened a few years prior on the millennial VS gen x season. That was first time it happened. I'm surprised they're sticking with Fiji. I think they were also in Fiji during the crazy med evacuation episode with Caleb and others.

I think it was obvious, but Natalie has a problem seeing the world through anyone else's eyes. Angelina defended her over and over during TC, while Mike was pretty clear that he was willing to vote her out.

That said, Angelina was 100% okay with sending Natalie over steal a jacket. So, seriously, **** Angelina. I wish she had been outed more during TC so that Lyrsa and Nick never consider giving her theirs.

The wife and I are rooting for Christian and Gabby, so we're pretty relived that they pulled out an immunity win. I don't think Gabby would have survived that vote.

What a crazy tribal! Glad Davie gave Christian the idol because he needed it. But then Angelina gets an idol played for her and John goes home!?! In hindsight, what were they thinking? A risky move thinking all remaining votes would be for her and they'd just do a re-vote with Goliaths having numbers still.

Christian better win this season. Has been one of most standout players (at least from confessional point of view) I can remember in years.

I can not stand Angelina. It'll be irritating to watch her squirm again next week knowing it's her charity seeking *** that got John sent home. Should have been her to go, again.

I hate Angelina too, but she's also good TV to me.... I'm torn, I want to see hear gone so badly but I'll probably miss her drama once she goes.



I'm so disappointed in Mike. I really wanted the Strike Force alliance to be a thing but there's no way that happens now. I'm normally only rooting for one or two people at this point in the game but I really liked everyone in that alliance and wanted to see them work together. It's a shame it only lasted for one vote.

Yeah I can't stand her either and hated to see John go but John was gone whether the idol was played or not, beautiful gameplay by the David's, Goliath's all voted Christian, idol saves him, David's put 3 votes on John (Nick, Christian, Davie) and 2 votes on Angelina (Gabby and Carl).

Sucked seeing John go but the David's completely blindsided them and Dan used an idol that ultimately didn't even factor into the vote since she would have been safe whether or not it was played.
