I'm going to guess some of the negative press and the fact that the mutants are moving to the MCU affected it but only 33 million? That's BAAAD.

I actually don’t think any of the bad press had to do with the MCU. It’s really just that much of a ****-show movie.

I think it's by-and-large the cast. They just don't have the weight to play the roles convincingly. Plus we've got them trying to pull off "goth" Nightcrawler and "punk rock" Storm in hopes to, what, maybe bring in larger audiences? I think that back-fired.

It wasn’t all bad and we have to thank the first X men for what we have today in comicbook movies. X1, X2, First Class, Days of Future Past, Deadpool 1/2 and Logan were all excellent.

I've personally tolerated all of them, but hold X1 and DOFP in less high regard than others seem to.

I'd have to agree with you on this except for Deadpool .... just not to my liking, not sure what it is because I normally like smarmy humor.

All good, It just didn’t vibe with you, you can’t help what you like in this world. Me personally I thought the casting was perfect and most of the jokes super hero landed for me.

It really sucks the last movie go out like this. First time not seeing an X men movie on opening day and may even skip it till it’s on streaming.

Unfortunately for those who don't like it, Deadpool is pretty much perfectly executed, we'll see as many of those as they can crank out. I love it, but have a bit of Ryan Reynolds fatigue.

Probably very unlikely but if they can pair Reynolds with Holland for a DP Spider-Man film, I’ll be happy boy. I’m laughing in mind how great it would be

They're looking into it. Nothing guaranteed yet, but one of the options they're considering is having DP make his MCU debut in Spider-Man 3.

I love Ian McKellen as an actor, but i never understood why he was picked to be Magento. Magneto has always been an imposing figure in the show and comics, Ian is everything but imposing, however he is an excellent actor though.

Regardless X1 and X2 hold a special place in my heart for what they did at the time. X3 I found to be terrible, First Class was amazing and Days of Future Past was pretty good. They stumbled with Apocalypse and it appears they've fallen with Dark Phoenix. Now the MCU will pick them up, it'll be interesting to see if they keep the dark tone of the movies or go with the brighter look of the most of the MCU movies.

Check him out in Mr. Holmes, who I believe was one of the first X-Men

I must be in the minority, but I liked Dark Phoenix. It clearly isn't in the league of Logan but I was entertained. Did feel like the villains were just terminators.

                              Welp, I really enjoyed it.

If it was all one connected franchise, the end didn't lead into X-Men (2000) at all. And I didn't really care for the guy with the super-dreads, but other than that, I really liked the movie.

I liked seeing some of the different ways people used their powers, like Scott bouncing a beam off a car mirror.
