Re: Arrow (season 7)
Definitely a good first episode, it felt brutal in a good way and the "flashback" scenes really added some mystery to the show which is good as well. I'm on board for this season, everything just feels different. The show needed to shake up and it looks like it may have gotten one.Comment

Re: Arrow (season 7)
What'd people think of the S7 premiere?
Spoiler
I liked the episode. Seeing how everyones life has changed with Oliver in prison. And seeing Oliver in prison (and with Cody). I still found the Diaz stuff to be boring. Less of him the better.
Most interesting part is obviously who the "New Arrow" is. Looks like this is a "flash forward" scene with older William going to the island to get some kind of training? My guess (based on reading others thoughts) is something like the original timeline just has Oliver die in prison and Diaz kills Felicity and takes over. All eventually leads to him going to the island, getting training, and going back in time to save the city.
On Flash, seems like a big part of this season revolves around
SpoilerFlash and the newspaper headline(s)
So maybe this season of Arrow is about Oliver in the future going missing(or dying).
pffftt..... everything was fine
I saw the green arrow shooting people with arrows out of his quiver as usualComment

Re: Arrow (season 7)
This show needs to get back to being centered around Oliver.
Period.
Maybe 20 minutes were devoted to Oliver while the rest were about junk I don't care about. Diggle being head of ARGUS? Nope. Falicity and Curtis arguing? Nope. Rift between Dinah and Laurel? Nope.
This show has been become a bunch of fluff with the supporting cast arguing with each other versus the struggles the main character faces and it's about worn on me.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Re: Arrow (season 7)
I finally liked Watson for half the episode and now she's gone. For me she reminded me of an old school wrestling villain. You don't just see them as a tv bad guy, you legitimately don't like their actions and wonder what's their deal.
Argus story wasn't so good, though the JJ part was funny. I wonder if it was on purpose since an alternate timeline has him becoming the new green arrow.
Oliver in jail has been good. Reminding me of the old Arrow flashbacks in s1 especially.Comment

Right before I pulled this up I was thinking about Diaz.
Trash Villian.
If Superman is overpowered then then this guy is severely underpowered. He has nothing, no power, no real unique fight skills no suoer smarts, and the only way to keep him going is to keep Oliver away from him.
He steals something while the powered henchmen do the fighting for him then he runs. More like a low level thug than a real boss.
It's like one long run on episode with this guy.
In fact how did Felicity even get away from him in the apartment but the FBI can't even get close enough to throw a punch in 5 months?

Re: Arrow (season 7)
Season has been off to a good start. Flashforwards have been good as well.
And it's nice that they have less of Diaz since he wasn't so good as a villain, but still having his presence around and controlling things off screen makes up for it.
Reading what some have said about who they think the new GA is, and seeing what we saw in the FF scenes, I wonder if they could even be:
SpoilerFuture Zoe. The new GA does save Rene a fair amount of times, seemingly more than others.Comment

Re: Arrow (season 7)
From the comics. Oliver's half sister who is the Daughter of Robert Queen and Shado. She ends up being raised by Komodo a villain whose real name is Simon Lacroix and used to be Robert's friend.
If it really turns out to be her they're probably going to make some changes like changing who the mother is and Komodo already appeared in S3 as a throwaway villain of the week.Comment
