    Re: Arrow (season 7)

I haven't seen all of season 6 or any of 7, but I am still saddened that it is ending. After I watched the first season of Arrow, it got me more in to comics and reading all the DC characters. I know the show isn't what it once was, and I think we all figured it was coming to this one day soon, but it will be sad to not have the Green Arrow on TV anymore.

I will definitely tune in for the last season.

It's good that its ending its run its course. I dont think that there was much else that they could have done.

They pretty much foreshadowed it in this year's crossover.

I'll miss it. And I'll own the whole series on Blu-Ray. Already have the first 4 seasons.

          Re: Arrow (season 7)

After watching Stephen Amell's facebook video, it seems like he was going to leave the show at the end of Season 7 but the network wanted to do a 10 episode run of the show for Season 8 to wrap it up. It basically sounds like he wants to move on (especially being a father now) from the show and the character and the network decided they couldn't do the show without him. My guess is, the show will be wrapped up with the cross over and end with him dying or just hanging up the hood altogether.

All I know is he better have the goatee in Season 8 or the whole show is a waste.

I think it's good timing. The show has clearly run its course so better to go out on their own versus being forced out.

                Re: Arrow (season 7)

I'm also hearing the D.C network might reboot a lot of the CW shows on their own. With how they've handled Teen Titans and Doom Patrol, i'm excited to hear these rumors.

Regarding the current shows on CW, it's become quite apparent they just don't have the budget and writing to transcend where they currently are. The first 2 season of Arrow were some of the best, accompanied by the season with Chase Daniel. Every other season has been some what of a let down. The budget also hasn't helped the show much. The flash forward scenes are pretty bad in terms of locale. I understand what they represent, but boy it looks visually bad.

Arrow has definitely paved the way for way for modern superhero shows, but i do think it's time for it to ride off into the sunset.

Or even go the BBT route. Quality got bad by the end that people are happy its done. It still somewhat ended on its own terms, but not exactly ending on top.

I guess all this also means we wont see an Oliver Queen appearance in other shows? Even just pop up on Flash once a year would be fine.

The writers can't be so bad they would kill him off?

...On second thought maybe they will kill him off.

If he is walking away from the show, I doubt he wants to show up on other shows.

With the other shows also having issues, they may need to combine some shows and advance them in the future to cut down on costs. Or start introducing new characters to make a show about.

I agree that they dont have to kill him off, but the way these writers are, you just never know. In the comics, at one point the Green Arrow does die by sacrificing himself. However, I don't think the writers of this show actually read those comics anymore so itll be interesting to see how they handle it. My hope is that his fate wont be left up to the current writers and, instead, itll be Greg Berlanti or Marc Guggenhein, the guys who started writing for the show in the first place.

I dont trust Marc Guggenheim he took over in Season 3 as showrunner until Season 6 and was responsible for a lot of crap storylines.

Funny unintentional exchange between Green Arrow and Drax, or Amell and Batista.

Next weeks episode will be interesting. Looks like the whole episode revolving around the flashforwards.

I never knew Mia is short for Moira.

I'm starting to think the Arrow announcement timing was on purpose. Flashforward is in 2040. William hasn't spoken to Felicity in 20 years. Doesn't seem like Mia knows much(if anything) about Oliver Queen.

Could be a reason for all that (Oliver dies in crossover/Arrow finale)? Just a guess, but it would make sense. Show ends with Green Arrows death, so it's not like life is continuing for Oliver while Flash is still going on the next city over.

The timing of announcement could be perhaps because Mia/William reveal in the flashforward that Oliver died around the time Mia is born. A reveal which would have more impact on viewers knowing it very well could happen since the show is ending (compared to if Arrow was renewed a few more years, you know Oliver obviously wouldn't die anytime soon).
