New season launches on Jan 24.

The season 3 trailer is out now and it looks good. I like the focus on the supernatural side which is what makes the show fun to me.

I was really hoping for a longer season. 8 episodes just seems so short for a show that appears to be doing well.

Watched the first 3 episodes last night. It has taken the "darkness" up a notch so far. Really enjoying it so far.

Binged the rest of the season today.

I both loved it and hated it.

I finally gave in and we started watching Part 3 this weekend. My contention for not watching it before now was it wasn't the right time of year for this show. At least that's how I felt about the first two parts since that seemed to at least reign in the camp every now and then while featuring some genuinely good horror motifs.

Part 3 feels like a completely different show from the beginning, though. Unless I've just been away too long. The teenage drama feels ramped up and my wife and I both catch ourselves nearly gagging during some scenes. The band and cheerleading stuff just feels fluffy, but at the cost of pacing and pulling you out of the show.

At this point of the series the Aunts are the best aspects of the show. I like Sabrina, but she continues to operate out of naivety which I'm sure we should simply chalk up to "teenagers", but at this point she should learn some kind of strategy by now. The political Hell game is somewhat fascinating in conjunction with rebuilding Coven.

Its like we've been enjoying exactly half of each episode so far. If part 4 is more of the same I'm not surprised they canceled it.

You definitely hit on my 2 biggest complaints for the show. I will say that the show picks up in the 2nd half of the season, a formula that is present throughout the series.

I watched the first 2 episodes of the new season. I was entertained, but something about it just seemed off.

Ambrose continues to shine as a character though. I think that Kiernan Shipka makes for a very fun Sabrina, but Ambrose characters has always been my favorite.

Ambrose really started to elevate when they began using him as the "source of knowledge" character. I've been enjoying his character a lot throughout the show, as well. Still, the aunts are flat out my favorite parts of the show.
