Try to catch up the show it still delivers. Maybe not up to earlier seasons but it is still a good watch. Hopefully they get a chance to wind it up proper and don't pull a Deadwood.

Strange integration, but I see why it had to be done. It didn't feel much like a finale, but perhaps it's because of the COVID-19 thing? Or was this always going to be the finale?

I mean story-wise I understand, but it felt kind of rushed. Probably because of the animation thing.

So it looks like the show goes on for at least another season. Getting close to a conclusion by the way this is playing out. I would rather wait till they can start filming again rather than watch much more of that animation.
Might have been nice to see the actors give Dennehy more of a send off than a quick acknowledgement at the very end of the show.

It was renewed three months ago.

Didn't really like the animation, probably because of the quality. I would think they could have made it look a lot better, but maybe they wanted it like that.

The actor who plays Glen has past away. R.I.P. I really liked his character.

Jellybean was one of my favorite characters on the show... I loved the episode where he had to win the truck for Red. Glad he got the majority of that episode.

Re: The Blacklist Starring James Spader

Aaand we're back. I didn't see a Clark Middleton dedication, so maybe he has a few bits filmed in this season (if not a lot of it?), and maybe we'll get it in his departure episode.

Admittedly I shouldn't have deleted the season finale last year so I can completely recall everything that happened, but since it was that weird episode with the animated parts it was a little jarring for me. I thought that was kind of anti-climactic, and this episode wasn't exactly high-octane either. Didn't really feel like the thread from one season to another, so I'm guessing that maybe they didn't exactly plan it that way.

Anyway, I don't know what the few months of quarantine did to Megan Boone, but it looks like she aged a few years since last year's finale, heh. I remember mentioning at the beginning of S5 that she was looking better than ever. Must've been mommy time during the pandemic that has done her in, heh.

Loved this show and it has had a good run. Season 8 has not been too bad actually. So we wait 2 months for the next episode?

This week was Glen's sendoff episode, and a perfect sendoff it was. Brought me to tears.

I also loved the Matrix references.

^ Just finished watching. A real touching episode. James Spader is one hell of an actor. Hopefully we get more Liz free episodes. The last few seasons, she has got on my nerves.

My girl and I have quite a few shows we watch with this being one of the main ones. We are on Season 8 ep 4 and have put off watching for a few weeks just cause Liz has gotten so annoying and we don't care for her much. Show other than her is still pretty good to us just having to deal with her is so hard.

I'm not as against Liz as others, but the Katarina stuff to me was bo-ring. Maybe it was the actress, or maybe it was because the legend always loomed larger than the lady. I'm glad that's all over. Wasn't a fan of the Agnes stuff either. Maybe it's because I tolerate Liz as an agent and not so much her home life, except when Tom was involved.

That being said, Liz being in the shadows presents a similar kind of legendry to it that Katarina did for the first many seasons. She feels a lot more bad-*** when you don't see her but you hear that she's still pulling all the strings.

Aram is the one character who keeps taking more and more strides and is just awesome. Besides Red, I wouldn't be surprised if he's most people's other favorite character. Getting him into the field was a good choice, and giving him more than just comic relief/tech support really broadened him (granted, he can still make a quip here and there). The one character I don't want to change at all is Harold, though. I like their superior always kind of being on his fellow agents' side of whatever morality they so choose, but always seeming like a good guy along the way.

I personally feel this show was better formatted when procedural (with loose connections in between) rather than serialized, but the last couple of episodes have let the serialized action feel fine.
