    Re: Big Brother 21

This should be a bigger story than it probably will end up being, but this is bad. Fans call out production all the time, but this is first time I can remember someone getting in trouble. But I'm sure this is far from first time something bad has happened with production. This is probably just some scapegoat moment.

A producer "reprimanded" for racially insensitive actions involving Kemi. Seems like they were pushing her to act a certain stereotypical way. We know things like that have happened on BB for years. They cast people to fill stereotypical roles and push that narrative in DRs/edits.

It was clear what they picked her for and she didn't do it. Her previews or intro even made her out to be the stereotype. I'm glad she didn't do it and she would have been a better player than the women in the couples.

We all know the role she was casted for, which is the problem. They intentionally seek out people to fit certain stereotypes/archetypes every season. That's the issue with BB which someone in CBS really needs to address. Why does casting search for specific stereotypes? Why not just cast the 8 best men and 8 best women you find. Who cares what state they're from, their profession, relationship status, what they look like, their age.

And obviously background checks need to be done. If strangers on the internet can pull up dirt on HGs, how can professional casters not be able to?

Things finally getting interesting. Sundays episode should be good.

About time that 6 finally splitting up. I hope Jack and Jackson go after each other and get evicted one after the next.

I have no idea what happened today, but last I checked, looked like Kat was going home. From then I just gave up checking what was happening, so I was really surprised she stayed and it was 9-0.

Because they need diversity or they'll get called out for it. I just wish they'd be better about casting a wide variety of characters instead of the same template of people every time.

Speaking of what happened yesterday, seems there was a "feed leak"(some fan has something that got the cbs signal from a satellite). From what I heard, it's like a 90 min video from before the live show. I think they might have shown what happened in the house and Julie/production reacting to not knowing what was happening.

Video has been taken down everywhere it was posted. Too bad I didn't see it on youtube last night.

I was expecting more from reading the leak. Christie was yelling, but that was about it.

Jess, the 1 person in the house doing nothing (not in the 6) as Holly and Alyse (sp?) don't do much, is now the HOH. I'm shocked she didn't put up Nick and Cliff. She for some reason thinks she is tight with the 6 unless something has changed in the last week. It's high school all over for her and she wants to be a part of the popular female group.

Could be interesting with the power still out there. Christie can save the 6 if she wants to.

It would be funny if Jessica is the one to get one of those guys out. Shes been irrelevant the entire season.

Get both Jack's out, and then let's see what Holly and Analyse are like on their own instead of clinging to their crazy boyfriend.

I'm not sure what you mean about Jess, she did the opposite of going with the popular clique and put up the two popular boys. If anything she was taking a stance AGAINST the popular people.

edit: oops, I missed the key word in your post "popular FEMALE group", it makes more sense now

She definitely surprised me in who she put up. Until this week she really was just doing whatever they told her even though she had plenty of chances to do something different. She honestly thought she was in the group with them.

Plus she knows nothing of the game.

Julie giving Jack the Aaryn treatment.

Aaryn deserved it way more than Jack, but Jack still deserves roasting.

Jack though was expecting to be a fan fave. Aaryn probably knew she wasnt crowd fave.

Apparently controversy in HOH comp. People saying BB didn't stop the clocks at proper times. If they did, Analyse of all people would've been HOH! I guess for once we should be happy for a production messup

You can definitely see why Jack was selected in that interview. He can talk and make it seem like he is a great guy that cares, but behind the surface is all Jack and nothing else. I'm a little surprised they did that after the edit he got. The rice pudding clip was way too long and I completely missed it, that was tame compared to all the stuff he said.

Not sure how the week will go with Tommy. He gets a good edit too. He can either get the other Jack out, go after the other side.

I dont watch feeds, but I feel like tommy gets guilty by association hate. He seems like a cool guy. Even Nick, without Bella he seems ok too(and maybe it's me, but he looks like one of minor characters on avengers or guardians).

Jack doesn't have one of those "faces you wanna punch", so probably why it didn't seem as bad. Michie looks like a Lego character on steroids come to life in a bad way lol. Even Aaryn, I felt people didnt rip her as much simply because she was cast for the model role in BB.

Sounds like Jack was prepped before leaving about questions Julie was gonna ask, so he could plan answers. And awhile after those moments happened, DR did warn HGs about comments.

I wonder what Julie thinks of this. She's just the host. She probably feels strongly about comments but has to do what producers want. The rice pudding comment especially I'm sure didnt sit well. At least for Survivor, Jeff is a producer so he can call people out live.

From reading, he is worse as he says things behind people's back. He is nice and friendly to their face, but is right there participating with the 6 and not just going along with it to stay in the game. At least for the others they were open about it.

It did seem Jack was prepped for it. He didn't get angry at all which would be his normal reaction.
