Not really sure, but just check the internet and you'll get lots of inquiries regarding this weeks final episodes and how he may open up on some of his monologues or closing good nights.

This is slightly good news for me, because I didn't have ABC for a few weeks due to contract disputes that DirecTV was involved in. I don't know how to see the episodes that I missed either, so if anyone knows how I can catch them, that would be great.

On that note, I won't be seeing these recent episodes for a long while since I'm in 2019 episodes right now.

        Re: RIP Alex Trebek

        Final episode is Friday!

I saw the Thursday one and it's sad hearing Alex talking about the (2020) holiday season, knowing he wasn't around for it. These final episodes were actually meant to air Christmas week, even before he died. His final episode I think actually was filmed as a Christmas day episode (I'm guessing, since he mentioned Christmas Eve on Thursdays episode), so perhaps his sign off for what would be his last episode might have been some sort of holiday well wishes for all the viewers.

Such an iconic game show and host. Don't think I'll ever get into watching it again without him though. He will surely be missed.

Yeah it's going to be very weird. I don't know how the show will do without him

                RIP Alex Trebek

My wife and I cried last night watching the farewell video. We grew up with Alex.

A game show host icon. The best of all time. Hands down.

The show will likely be fine without him, depending who they get as a host. From some rumored names I saw, I dont recognize some of those names, and seems like they're news type people. Not sure how well that'll fare for the show.

Nobody ever topped Regis hosting Millionaire, but Meredith was a good host. Like how nobody ever topped Bob Barker hosting Price is Right, but Drew Carey taking over has been good.

Whoever is the news Jeopardy host won't ever top Trebek, but they hopefully can be decent to keep the show running and not turn it into a revolving door of hosts who didnt do a great job.

I've been watching Family Feud off & on since almost the start, they've had like 6 hosts and I wound up liking them all, even Louie Anderson's short run. I particularly liked Richard Dawson, Ray Combs and definitely Steve Harvey.

Jeopardy is such a great show, and while it was surely fortunate enough to have Trebek for so long, if Jeopardy gets someone half as good as Trebek, they'll be fine.

I never had any problem with the FF hosts I've seen (though I only saw the "modern" FF with Karn and O'Hurley).

But once I saw Steve Harvey hosting FF, I can't imagine anyone else doing that. He easily tops all the others.

Ken Jennings was on last night. He was quite emotional during the intro.

That's cool. I remember seeing him on celebrity Jeopardy. Didn't do bad.

Guess you're too young to have seen Richard Dawson, the original host. I thought he was irreplaceable like Alex, but Steve Harvey comes darn close. He is still 2nd fiddle though to Richard.

Ken Jennings is doing a very respectable job and you could even say "Herculean" trying to fill those huge shoes of Alex Trebek. I commend Ken for mentioning him often and stating no one could replace Alex. Still watching every night and feel the tears in my eyes when they display the "memory of Alex" screen at the end.
