Movie wasn't awful but there was just too much stuff and too many characters for a 2 hour movie. If I didn't know Vera Farmiga was in this I would not have picked her out. I guess Chase figured he would grab some cash off a very popular show but this just didn't do it for me at all.

HBO Max Discussion
I’ll just focus on the good things: Vera Farmiga as Livia killed it to me, some of the casting in general, young Janice and young Carmela in particular, and lastly, I am now closer to my uncle. What I mean by that is when I watched the 3 Godfather movies, I loved the first 2 and liked the 3rd. He told me it’s hard to explain how much of a disappointment it was when you’d seen the first 2 a million times and then got stuck with that. Now I understand because this movie is trash. The “ohhh” when Dickie is talking to Tony about smoking, yikes. HBO saved David Chase from himself because if I had heard that in a theater I would’ve wanted a refund. Also wasn’t really feeling the narration. But again, on the bright side, I can watch the series again as a palate cleanser and that’s always fun. I really liked some of the ideas, but it was just so poorly executed to me. Best part was the theme song at the end, got me hyped like it always does.

Re: HBO Max Discussion
A lot of the continuity issues I think people are just shrugging off as “memory being deceiving” being one of the themes of the show, I think it works better in some cases than others. My big one was why is Sil so much older than Tony. I think it works really well with the whole Chris arc and him succumbing to drug addiction because he believed it was a family curse. I’ll be interested to see Chase talking about it, I’m seeing a lot of “he just wanted to make a Newark riots movie and they forced a Sopranos prequel on him” so maybe that’s the case.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: HBO Max Discussion
I never saw it that way, but that’s probably because there was a book that said he was born in 1957 and Tony in 1959 and it just stuck in my head. The HBO website itself says Tony was born in 59 and in the movie he’s born in 55. The movie just didn’t bother following the “canon”.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: HBO Max Discussion
The Harry Potter reunion they had was nice. A different tone than the Friends one where it was just the cast revisiting the set and randomly half the show being an interview infront of a live audience.
They probably could've done full on specials for each movie just of the cast talking about the behind the scenes stuff.
You could get the feeling how each of the main cast felt about returning. Rupert(Ron) just felt like he was back for the sake of being back. Daniel(Harry) seems to have accepted that no matter what, people will just label him as Harry Potter, but he seems fine with it (I'm sure some actors have struggled in their careers when everyone just associates them with 1 character and that's how anyone ever views them). And Emma you could tell she's happy to be back and still loves the series, basically saying she's her character in real life anyways.
The funniest part for me was finding out Alan Rickman(Snape) had intel on what would be happening in the later books while they were filming the movies, and when he did certain things and people asked him why, he was like "you'll find out later".Comment

Peacemaker is fn hilarious!! Cena has found his role. First episode was amazing [emoji23] . I am officially hooked.
Anything James Gunn touches turns to gold. Just keep in mind this James Gunn so if you don’t like his humor you probably won’t like it.
