This season feels like a transition season. Just testing out what works and what doesn't.

S42 was also filmed I believe, so s43 might be the first real one of the new era after seeing viewer reactions to everything.

I hope so, this whole thing with them having to say some ridiculous sentence at a challenge and hoping 2 other people also say it is kinda dumb. We've got one tribe who hasn't even found it yet and another tribe where the person who did find it was just voted off so I assume it's hidden once again. Then I have to wonder what happens when they merge, are we back to normal HII setups or something else ridiculous?

If you hate twists, you'll definitely not be a fan of the latest one.

I still don't fully understand that one. What's preventing someone from lying about it? You lose either way don't you?

I'm glad Shan will stick around for a bit, her theme song cracks me up, and I love how the show plays a version of it when she's up to something

The theme song makes me feel like she's making it far. No way they'd come up with an actual background song if she was some pre jury boot

It looked like Xander and Evvie were overselling their trick, and I'm watching like, uh oh, whatever they're doing is gonna be too obvious, this won't work.

Hell, even after all the nonsense happened before the vote, as the votes came out and it looked like Evvie might be in trouble, Xander apologized to her, then it ended up being Syd, who correctly used her shot in the dark, but lost anyway


no one knows what to do, it's crazy, I can't figure out if I like it or not

That was a cool moment from Xander. Pulling out a fake idol so that when Liana asks him for the idol, he's like "No I don't....but you can have this fake one"

Liana should having guess Tiffy having the idol, she saw Xander Evvie and Tiffy together plus found out Tiffy was telling everyone her advantage.

Easy in hindsight to say that, but I wasn't expecting Tiffany to have it. And even more surprising, she seems fully on board with Xander, going as far as to not play the idol because he said so even when Evvie begged her to.

That felt like a copout move from Tiff, using Xander as the reason she didn't use it. Like she could say "Hey, not my fault you got voted out, Xander was the one who said not to play it"

It was so obvious watching.

Too bad Sydney is out. I wouldn't have wanted her to win because she seems like a terrible person, but she would have made for good TV.

That twist worked out better than I thought it would be. Evvie was the obvious choice, but the Naseer blindside was great.
