    Big Brother 26

New season underway with the "old school" start date of mid July (ignoring covid/writers strike seasons, this is the first non June start to the main shows season since S14 in 2012, and latest start into July overall).

It's also the first season to run from July to October.

The AI twist I'm fully expecting to last all of a few weeks before it gets forgotten about until a random point later on in the season like virtually every other twist they start a season with.

I do wonder what they would've done if the HGs actually voted "Ainsley" into the house. Probably a similar type of message they had when she wasn't voted in? Or what would've happened if it was a unanimous decision one way or the other (a highly unlikely scenario, but you could've had all voting yes or no which defeats the purpose of having two competitions based on the vote result).

America's Veto and Deepfake HOH are the upgrades so far.

Veto can be used by the America's Veto holder after the Veto ceremony and remove any nominee from the block and America votes for who goes up with the result being revealed right before the vote (aka, if fans hate someone and the Veto gets used, the person the fans hate will surely be voted out asap).

The deep fake HOH let's the holder be the HOH all week without anyone knowing since they'll be masked by the HOHs face. That's the creepy part to me. It's always been like that where HGs sign away their likeness to CBS, but now that includes "deepfakes"? The deep fake HOH would basically be the HOH deep faked into an Ainsley replacement basically where they'll look and sound like the HOH but on the Ainsley screen.

Angela is CRAZY. That's all I have to say.

The entire house was almost speechless the whole time being like "what is going on..."

She's doing a thing, probly an actress, apparently she's been on other reality shows.

She's rumored to be a "plant" and I kinda agree, I don't think they expected her to win the first HOH and go all in with her character so soon. I doubt she stays long

The casting for BB has always been weird. You have all these people who want to be on the show yet the show just recruits heavily instead.

We have yet another Texas A&M person too who has to make it known that they're a Texas A&M person. Does their recruiter just hang out at their parties or something?

But this season, Leah and Quinn have been my faves so far. Leah simply because her DRs remind me so much of Brittney (from S11/14) and Quinn's DRs have been funny too (calling out Kenney for wanting to sacrifice his game for Matt when "you've known him for A WEEK", they should've used that clip again when Mackensey and Leah were crying over Matt being evicted)

yeah I kinda feel BB wanted to recruit this season to make sure there wasn't racism headlines, so instead they got crazy white lady to do crazy white lady things.

There isn't the standard surfer guy or the standard redneck guy.

But anyway, anyone notice when Matt went out, he embraced tall girl and said something like "we're still moving to dallas", that was interesting , Angela may have inadvertently broke up some other nonsense with her own nonsense lol

Some people they recruit definitely only want to be on the show for non BB reasons.

Maybe she's a fan, maybe not, but Makensey immediately being like "tall, dark and handsome" as her type and being so into Matt right away feels like she came to the game for a showmance. Leah bringing up her.....chubby chaser stuff, she definitely knows why she was cast (if she wasn't a recruit).

Although, as much as I don't care for Liza, I want her to stay around just for Tucker to go after her in the DR some more. It could be the next Steve-Becky where Tucker spends the entire season ripping her in the DR but she doesn't comment on him once all season in the most random one sided feud.

                Re: Big Brother 26

Angela is spiraling out of control even more. Just bad game moves all around while having no self awareness.

I thought she quit for a moment when she was upset in the DR and the next scene they show the DR button showing unavailable (as in they were hinting she's still in there or is gone).

The cookout was the best and worst thing to happen. It needed to happen given various issues in BB whether it be casting or how things go in the house and they achieved their end goal.

But at the same time, that's now something in the back of everyone's mind in every season. If you bring up suspicion such as Kyle a few years back and especially if you're wrong, you're hated and called out. And as we saw now, if you bring up suspicion and you might actually be right, you're still gonna be hated and called out.

Somehow despite everything Angela is still not voted out?

Even Quinn was like "I vote to evict Lisa for some reason."

No spoilers! How is this season? We haven't had time to watch the last two and thought about getting back into it.

Like many seasons, it's too early to tell. Lots of seasons are just "don't want to get blood on my hands, vote with the house" kind of gameplay where everyone wants to fly under the radar until jury.

But the drama level is high simply because of 1 person.

I can't stand Tucker, his bizarre lone wolf strategy is ok for now, but being unaligned and volunteering to be a pawn twice in a row just because he knows he can beat the two he already knows are on the block? I mean, it's solid in theory, but this can't hold up

Ironically the real pentagon of this season might not even be the alliance but this weird love pentagon (more than a love triangle) thing going on.

                            Chelsie likes Cam
                            Cam likes Leah
Leah likes Will but also Tucker
                            Tucker loves...the goldfish?
But then Kimo also likes Tucker

                            What a crazy veto ceremony!

Tucker volunteers to be a nominee, he wins the veto, uses it on Angela so that Quinn can go up and get backdoored with his upgrade power, except Cedric puts up Makensy who then uses her upgrade to take herself off the block and now America votes on the replacement.

I don't even know who would get chosen either.
