Not a fan of the Thrice version, but I do like the versions Tripdavon and David Cook did (they sound pretty much the same).

And I'm really not a fan of Soundgarden's version of "Come Together"

Not gonna say necessarily better, but I really like when a band puts their personal spin or personal touch on a song they are covering where it has more of a collaborative feel than just simply going in and playing as-is. Bands like SOAD completely change up the timing, style & sound of a song while Manson simply makes it his own by adding his gritty style to it.

Van Halen - You Really Got Me (The Kinks)
System of a Down - Metro (Berlin)
System of a Down - Snowblind (Black Sabbath)
Shadows Fall - Welcome To The Machine (Pink Floyd)
Marilyn Manson - Personal Jesus (Depeche Mode)
Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams (Eurythmics)
Alien Antfarm - Smooth Criminal (Michael Jackson)
Disturbed - Shout 2000 (?) (Tears For Fears)
Metallica - Whiskey In A Jar (Dubliners)
Deftones - No Ordinary Love (Sade)
          Deftones - Simple Man (Skynard)

Also, not that any of these are "covers" but if you look up an album "Loud Rocks" it has a lot of collaborations from the late 90's of some rock & rap groups. Some pretty alright stuff in it.

I like Aerosmith version of Come Together. I also like Nickelback/Kidd Rock version of Saturday Night Alright for fighting.

Don't want to post the video here as its associated with an intense issue, but the recent cover of "Another Brick In The Wall (Hey Ayatollah, Leave Those Kids Alone" by "Blurred Vision". Go to YouTube and find it.

                    Awesome, and really important.
