Do the convicts just continue to respawn or is there a point when you kill them and they are gone for good? It would be nice if I only had the massive number of zombies to contend with when taking that shortcut to the food court.

      Thanks, that's good to know.

        Great news! (not really):

"With Dead Rising enjoying masses of success, the chances of Capcom releasing a sequel are fairly high. Although a sequel hasn't been confirmed by Capcom, according to the October edition of Electronic Gaming Monthly, one of the US' most popular gaming magazines, is reporting that Sony may have convinced Capcom to make Dead Rising 2 a PS3 exclusive." It seems pretty speculative at this point. I'll believe it when its officially announced by Capcom. It would definitely suck if true, because I'm really liking this game.

Anyone have any ideas on a setting for a sequel? I was thinking a massive cruise ship would be cool.

I bet it becomes cross platform, Capcom would be to stupid at this point to do something like that especially with them having sold so many on the 360.

I would love an open city, walking through the outskirts of the city of Williamette would be nice.

I agree it wouldn't be a great move because they've already got an established market on the 360. Multi-platform would make the most sense, unless Sony pays them a ton of money.

Has a an exclusive game on one console ever had a sequel that was exclusive to another console?

The only games that are gonna be exlcusives are first party games. Its to expensive to make games as a third party publisher and not hit both systems.

I doubt Sony has enough bread to compensate Capcom for the money they'd lose by freezing out a really strong DR 360 fanbase thats sure to grow during the holiday...

I still can't figure out whether I like the clock in this game. Sometimes I think it adds a whole new challenging element to the game (in a good way) and sometimes I think it just sucks.

Maybe if you could have more game saves and more save locations it would make the clock thing a little less sadistic. It hasn't happened to me yet, but I can see having a game save that doesn't leave you with enough time to finish a case, which basically means you have to start over from the beginning. That would piss me off.

One thing the clock does is add replayability. I'm completely skipping over half of the surviviors and scoops because I just don't have time to get to stuff. So I'll definitely have to replay it just to get to some of the stuff I missed.

I really like the clock, it's you racing against time. But I do wish they gave you a bit more time to do more of the side missions, but that's what the replay value is for.

Yeah, there are some side missions that I don't even think about starting because I'm too worried about making it back to start one of the cases.

Without giving any spoilers, how do the different endings work? Do you get a better ending by saving more survivors? Or are the endings just based on how you do on the cases?

I personally don't like the endings. I don't want to spoil anything about how to get ending A, which is the one to unlock Overtime mode.
