Yes it is right because I want the water. Its my option to pay the 10$ or not.If the temperature was 102 degrees I would buy the 10$ water if our area had a shortage.Originally posted by koolbubbaice

It really isn't that big of a deal. I can't believe people are getting mad over this. I guess you must hate everyone who sells stuff on ebay.Originally posted by koolbubbaiceIts called ripping someone off.. Bad Idea. I guess if your area had a water shortage, its cool for the guy at the 7 11 to charge you 10.00 for a bottle of water, right? Since its the smart thing to do..Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: buying multiple xbox 360s
It's not called ripping someone off at all, if you wan't it bad enough you will buy it at any cost, that goes for anything, if someone is over pricing the system and you buy it, thats your fault bro no one else. Please it' just a gaming system, buy it or don't buy it, guess what if the 360 is sold out at launch time and someone offers to sell you one in the street or on ebay and you can't afford it, cause that person is over pricing it, guess what your out of luck to bad, if you want it bad enough you buy and be happy. Thats how I see it. Like people would say "No hard feelings, it's just BUSNIESS"Originally posted by koolbubbaiceIts called ripping someone off.. Bad Idea. Re: buying multiple xbox 360s
"Ripping off" is a relative term. To some, paying $400+ retail for a console is considered being "ripped off" by the gaming industry.Originally posted by koolbubbaiceIts called ripping someone off.. The issue here is that someone has a material object that is desired by a buyer. That buyer can either opt to pay the price, or they can opt not to.
It is an agreement between two parties, and thus it is the potential buyer's job to decide whether he is being "ripped off" or not. Not mine, yours, or anyone elses.
As long as the sale is legal. and legit, I fail to see how you can be so vehemently opposed to this.
People can either pay premiums to get things faster, or they can wait, and buy the product when more are available, or when the price has dropped. It really is basic economics.Enjoy football? Enjoy Goal Line Blitz!Comment

As a man of decent morality, I understand where you guys are coming from. I'm not knocking my mans. I'm saying that it's morally wrong. Simple as that. He can do what he wants. I'm not buying it from him. Honestly, it's whatever is on his conscience after he makes the transaction if he feels it was worth it. Simple as that. Personally, I buy stuff of ebay. I go on there searching for cheap buys compared to store values. That's me. I try to be a smart buyer. Different situations call for different types of responses. Hey, simple as that. By the way, if anyone has gotten offended by the ideas and thoughts on this board, you need to just stop coming here cause opinions are naturally a way of life. GET OVER IT!!Comment

Re: buying multiple xbox 360s
The truth is people who either forgot or were to late to reserve will probably be happy payin an extra $100 if thats what they have to pay for it. Theyre most likely not gona spend $500 on an xbox 360 if they ddnt want it that bad and could wait for it.
i do understand that people like me who buy more than 1 are part of the reason that a lot of people who want the system dnt reserve it in time but if they don't get it in time and still really want it wen it comes out they will happily pay a lil extra to get it at launch.
anyone here got any tips on selling it on ebay
how many days should i make the auction, what price should i start it, etc.?
im thinkin of doing a 7 day auction and starting it 5 days before launch and startin low like at $1. I figure the lower i set the price the more bids and more interest in the item i will get. I want the auction to end less than 2 days after release so the demand will be really high.
if u have ne tips about helping me maximizing profit post them and minimize the argeuing over ethics and morals.Comment

Re: buying multiple xbox 360s
ya i thnk i might start it a 99.99
i thnk my best chance to get a lot of money would be ending teh auction 2 days after the release becuase then people will have exhausted all their other chances of gettin one early and will have no choice but to buy on ebayComment

Re: buying multiple xbox 360s
co-sign.Originally posted by ExtremeGamerI hate people that do that. If the system is in short demand, you're taking away from someone who really wants it. I hope there are plenty of them and you get stuck with 2 systems.
While I do agree with the point that if someone is willing to buy a product you should sell it, I've personally never liked the process of buying up a product for the sole purpose of selling it at double the value when you have no intention of using it. I don't knock the hustle, but that doesn't mean I have to support it 100%. Especially when some of the people wouldn't have to go to ebay if people would leave the systems they have no intentions of playing at the store.
During the whole tickle me Elmo extravaganza, people who didn't even have kids were buying up those things to make a profit robbing some kid of an opportunity(unless their parents were willing to pay 7-10 times the price). I also had a friend who worked at KB Toys awhile ago who claimed that people would camp out at the store before opening and buy multiples of the same figures (Star wars, Spawn, etc). In other words, the people who's only point of buying this product were for themselves or their kids to play with it are SOL. They now have the option to pay whatever the price is set for or hope that same figure appears in the store(they may have to take a day off from work to camp out though for a chance at it
).
I mean you no disrespect NoSkillz, I'm just giving you my two cents. Good luck.
P.S. I don't have to worry about being the one over paying for one but it's obvious that the people on this site and others are well informed on release dates, reserving items, and where to go to purchase them. It's also obvious that we make up a small percentage of the people who actually buy these systems and those who don't have our knowledge are the people who get screwed.Last edited by NINJAK2; 05-27-2005, 11:39 AM.EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Re: buying multiple xbox 360s
i think these arguments are ridculous, if you can get two and sell another one great! if you want the xbox so bad, then reserve it. When people sell xbox's online its to the people who can't normally get it anyways, like people who live in the boonies and would rather order it on ebay.
And all this ripping people off talk, the person selling isn't ripping people off, if you bought it and complained how expensive it was to get it, then you ripped yourself off.Comment

most people who will buy on ebay are people like that^^^Originally posted by RockinDaMikeWhen people sell xbox's online its to the people who can't normally get it anyways, like people who live in the boonies and would rather order it on ebay.
most likely they are not the ppl who made an effort to reserve but were just a few days too late because those ppl probably will camp out or have already reserved one for the 2nd shipment
so my point is most people buying on ebay probably stil wouldnt have reserved one even if no1 bought more than 1Comment
