I was very impressed with this demo, the graphics and physics are some of the best I have seen. Shooting down signs to make them fall on your enemy is very cool as it the precision aiming. I will probably pick up the PS3 version because of the included movie, hopefully it runs as smooth.

Stranglehold for Playstation 3 delayed for unspecified time

Some bad news today for Playstation 3 owners. Midway sent out a press release this afternoon which contains the exact release date for John Woo Presents: Stranglehold. The PC and Xbox 360 versions will both be released on August 27 but the pressrelease does not say anything about the Playstation 3 release.

Dutch website PS3Only contacted Midway why there was no mention of the Playstation 3 release. They just got a response from Midway which contained the bad news that Stranglehold for the Playstation 3 has been delayed for an unknown time. Although it will definitely be out this year, it seems it won't make the previous september release.

Midway recently said the Playstation 3 version would be released on September 17, but now it seems that it won't make that release. When the Playstation 3 version will be released now is something will just have to wait for. Midway's response can be read below.

Demo rocks and love the precision shots. Shoot them in the arm and they actually grab their arm, shoot thier nads and they are in the worst pain ever before they die. Very good demo. It kind of sucks that this game has caught my interest because there are enough games already I want to get......

I loved the demo it was great I will be buying this it will get the $60 I planned on getting GTA IV with hope it can hold me over until the new release date.

This is a great demo. Game should be a lot of fun and it'll be interesting to see what the MP is like with people flying everywhere etc.

I wonder how that will work because if someone is in "tequila time" aka slo-mo it would have to slow down whoever they are aiming at as well or there would be no benefit. Pretty tricky to implement well me thinks......

The demo alone sold me on this game. Way to much kickass in one game. Headshots in tequila time are incredible.

There's only the two types of gun available in the demo isn't there (Shot gun and dual hand guns)? I haven't seen any others yet.

There are dual SMG's as well, they are just harder to find and towards the end of the level.
