Unsubstantiated rumors (i.e. no one decided to ask Midway) this morning suggested Stranglehold for the PlayStation 3, which is already releasing a few weeks after its Xbox 360 and PC counterparts, would be missing its September release date completely and moving to an unspecified launch window. Obviously, given the game's based on the Unreal Engine 3, many started trying to "connect the dots," given the engine's trouble on the platform.

1UP asked Midway what the deal was -- but there's nothing to report. Midway's European public relations counterparts simply forgot to attach a release date in a news blast about Stranglehold and the Internet ran with it. As of today, Stranglehold for PS3 is still on track for its previously announced September 17th release.

There are dual SMG's as well, they are just harder to find and towards the end of the level.

No problem. They are through a beat up wooden door on your left side near the end. Kinda like the same door you blast through to get the Dual Golden Pistols. Just shoot right through it and get the weapons.

Whats you guys favorite special ability in this game? Mine would have to be the barrage because it makes me feel like Tony Montana from Scarface when he went berserk at the end of the movie.

Like the rest of you, this demo really sold me on the game. I wasn't going to, but now I think I'm gonna end up buying this. Not to mention the g/f loves the game too, haha

Like the rest of you, this demo really sold me on the game. I wasn't going to, but now I think I'm gonna end up buying this. Not to mention the g/f loves the game too, haha

I thought the Bioshock demo was sweet and then I played Stranglehold! It was just flat out fun, and as I played I got more used to the controls/aiming so I was doing cooler and cooler things

Do you know how fun that is? I wasted one precision aim on a guy's forehead, the rest were all shots to the groin. I would seriously try to earn that achievement haha

Apparently you can use all those skills in multiplayer too! This game sounds like it could be great online, though I wonder how the slo-mo translates into online (does it slow for me somehow when they're aiming, i don't know)

Shoot them in the gun hand. That one is rewarding as well. As is the kneecap.

Ooooooh, how did I forget? I'm all about kneecapping!

I'll have to play through the demo more (especially now that i've started unlocking the other tequila moves). I might seriously buy this, it's just fun to play!

Nope still there.

I just got around to the demo now... wow, game doesn't look too impressive but don't be fooled. Don't know what it is but I MUST play more.

Can't wait till the 27th!
