You know what, it's just something that so many people honestly can't go around. Some still think PS2 is better than XBOX because that's their sole love in gaming. Some think that PS2 has near realistic graphics untouched by even computers now. That's just the way the world works. Funny , I still don't recall reading anything about an Emotion Engine included into my PS2. I wonder should I su ....speak to Sony about my "defective" system?? Funny. Did any of you get an Emotion Engine in your PS2's ?? Maybe we should talk....pay pal style

Somebody should ask Ken if this is the same "supercomputer" that contains the Cell chip Apple 'passed on' for their new CPU.

Could you or someone clarify this cause I'm seriously not an Apple fan and could honestly careless about it? Still, this intrigues me....

Climb into the time tunnel for a heaping helping of Sony hype about the Emotion Engine, pre-PS2 release:

Now you know why I don't believe a damn thing Sony says in its pre-release hype for its new consoles. The PS2 replacing the PC? That's laughable.

PK and you are dead on, Sony has always been about the hype.

It's because they have a reason. People bash Microsoft too when they deserve it.

You really need to read your articles before you post about them. Sony didnt say anything in there, the CNN journalist did. He specifically said "experts predict".

That, and the article was right, the PS2 did rival LOW-END PC's at the time, just as the article says. It didnt replace PC's as the primary entry-level machine for Web browsing, but the article clearly stated it as such as a prediction anyways, and it was a naive one at that.

And where did said reporter get that information and that suggestion? From a Sony PR person, of course. That's what PR people do. I know: I am one for a living.

Possibly because they always promise the moon and deliver cheese.
I'll eventually have the PS3 (Maybe) but I don't anxiously await anything Sony says, period.
