I think that's only for online orders. In store I was able to pre-order just the system for the normal price.

I think Wal-Mart is taking online pre-orders for the 360, not sure when they begin though.

They're going to have other bundles most likely. So you might want to wait if you want some sports games in the bundle.

I want the premium with controllers that have wires. Hopefully someone comes up with that. I can't stand wireless controllers.

Why are you glad you preordered at Gamestop? Is their Xbox 360 going to give you magical powers or something? You dont have to get the bundle at EB, as I have the 360 for $399 preordered.

I just confirmed with several sources at multiple EB Games locations- The Gamespot.com article was very misleading. The bundles apply to ONLINE orders only. The EB Games storefronts will still sell both XBOX 360 system skus individually- NO BUNDLE REQUIRED. (But they did stress quantities will be limited, get on reserve list, etc.)

The EB Webfront is the doing this bundle thing (which is what they always do for some odd reason.) Not the storefront...

So this news does not apply to people who go into a real EB store to reserve and buy the 360. I'm sure EB is contacting Gamespot to add clarification on this issue (if they haven't already).

I have my own opinion being formed about Gamespot having quite a few biases - or at least some of their news writers- I think this may be another case. (The pattern I see there is anti-Microsoft, anti-EA, Pro-Sony... and strangely Pro-Nintendo, but perhaps you guys read something differently over there and I'm wrong. )

Gamespot DID say that the news was about EBGames.com (the webfront) But they offered no clarification or info to tell people that this did not apply to the actual storefront. That's kind of a big, important clarification that should have been made.

It is cheaper if you want those 4 games.

4 games at $60 + the Xbox 360 at $400 = $640


An Extra Wireless Controller -$50
Play & Charge Kit (for extra controller) - $20
Rechargeable Battery Pack (for included controller) - $12


$722 total. Not much savings. Maybe if they let you pick 4 games I would consider it.

I have just the 360 pre-ordered at gamestop by putting 50$ down a few weeks back.

None of this will matter in a couple years when Gamestop completes the purchase of EB.. they will be in control of both companies then and price differences will likely be little if any between them.

I would do it if I could pick the 4 games like you said. I have only interest in one of those games. Give me Madden, PGR3, PD:Zero, and Ghost Recon and we have a deal.
