Well, I dont know how, because I remember them(microsoft) saying that it was out of their hands when a lot of people complained that they cant just get the system.

And now with their only being one game store to buy from, the chances of you not having to buy a bundle are probably next to nothing.

Same here. Although I'm not getting it at launch. I'll probably wait until the next gen of baseball games comes around.

well, it must be nice to be you, because I just came back from EBgames, where the district manager told me it is not going to be possible to get a 360 at launch without getting one of the bundles(in store or online), though they are going to be doing a bundle similar to the one for the Xbox where you got to pick out 3 games of your own choice.

Maybe it's a MA thing, but I was at EB last night with the manager (my buddy) and their DM. They got a phone call about it and the DM said "No, you do not have to buy a bundle".

Your MS hate and Sony fanboyism gets a little old after a while. I would like to know why you think that these "bundles" will hurt the 360's sales. You can still buy just the console at a local EB Games or Gamestop. I am also willing to bet that most consumers who will purchase a 360 (or PS3/Revolution for the matter) will buy one from a store where they are not offering any kind of bundle. Also, how is it a rip-off? The price is the same if they bought all of the stuff included individually.

I don't hate the Xbox.

And you really believe the Xbox 360 isn't a rip? BTW, I was just curious of the sales because I want to know how many people bought the HDD-less version over the one with the HD.

I mean why offer a bundle for the 360 without the HDD when you're better off just buying off the $400 one and one game?

I know a lot of impatient gamers with loose pockets are going to be ripped.

I preordered from them as well, and I have had no indication of having to buy a bundle.

I pre-ordered mine at EB as well and it says nothing about a bundle on my receipt.

Now, if somebody walks in the store on launch day wanting to buy a 360, I could see them saying that you have to buy a 360 and 3 games or whatever it is.

I find it laughable, really.... You're gonna mandate to me what games I have to buy with the system...

Quite honestly, if I walk into GameStop and I'm forced to buy two more games outside of the Oblivion and with HD system that I preordered I will walk out the door.

I don't have to have XBOX 360 that badly. I can wait if I'm being forced to purchase games I don't want.

Regardless, I preordered the system today and offered on my own to preorder a game with it. The manager told me I didn't even have to, but I figured I'm going to have to buy a game with the system anyway.

So your telling me that only me in Florida and my 2 friends in MA were the only ones made to buy an Xbox and 3 games at the launch?

Cmon guys...i remember the message boards that I was on at the time being unblievably pissed at this, I know im not the only one.

And the DM I talked to said to me expicatley that the pre-order is for the Xbox system itself, just so you have one, but in order to get it, you will also have to buy some type of bundle. More than likely that meas also buying 3 extra games that you pick out. Thats how it was for me and the XBox. I got madden, halo and Tony Hawk when it came out.
