As a former Team Leader in the Army, the Satisfaction of setting up a good ambush carries over to this game. I really love this game, it tells a great story, it has excellent AI, and the Headshots are freakin awesome.

A great game to kick off the Fall Video game season.

I just finished this game and overall it was very good. This game could be top notch. Hopefully the next installment will be a bit more polished. For the next game GearBox needs to...

Make the Germans aggressive. The Allied forces failed in Operation Market Garden but you wouldn't know that by playing the game. There should be some missions where the German forces are overwhelming and you are forced to retreat.

This game needs to look like a 360. At times I thought I was playing an old XBOX game.

The gore system is EXCEPTIONALLY well implimented. Not overdone at all.

If you have at least a day or two to devote to it, absolutely. I played it non-stop on Saturday and finished it up today.

there are are 10 chapters in the game...Ive played 5 chapters now on veteran difficulty and it took me around 7 hours to do that. So we're looking at another 8 hours (considering the challenge gets harder each level).....so it should be about 15 hours total which is a a good solid length for a FPS.

Re: Brothers in Arms 3 (X360/PS3)

I am enjoying the game so far, but I have to admit, I am a bit disappointed overall.

This was one of my most anticipated games, ever since it was first announced many years ago. I followed its development closely and was always ecstatic everytime the developer released a new video, especially their great walkthrough videos.

Now it appears that all those "playable" walkthroughs were bogus and alot of what the developer promised is not even in the game. Now, my problem is not so much with the final product (it is a soid title), but that Gearboxed hyped up certain things that they knew they could not deliver on. Things that they specifically pointed out in their video demos, even when they knew they might not be able to deliver it in a real game environment (outside a controlled demo environment).

This was really bothering me early on. As I've progressed through the game I've began accepting it for what it is, which is another solid, fun, BiA game, but I think Gearboxed handled promoting this game in a bad way.

You know, I didn't really think about it until now but what happened to a number of the levels that were shown in videos? There were a couple of gameplay videos that I never saw in the game and some cutscenes, too. Also, one of the most fun thing in the previous two games was when you controlled a tank (not by driving it but commanding it). There were no missions like this during the game. I loved suppressing an enemy and then flanking them with the tank. This would have been especially cool with Hell's Highway because of the gore system.

I'm loving this game so far, probably 1/2 -2/3 of the way through it and it hasn't disappointed yet. Now I agree that the graphics could be better and that the Germans could be more aggressive but aside from that it's effing awesome. I can't wait for the next BiA to come out. Once I finish the Veteran mode I'll go back play it on Authentic, I always do that with BiA games I love that mode.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

This is a very good rental. I'm probably 3/4 done the story and it's satisfying. I haven't touched the multiplayer, but i doubt it's going to challenge the best.

My only complaint is the lack of weapon variety, and how easily the enemy spots ME and is so accurate. I think the graphics are very good, and I've never felt like I wanted to stop playing for any reason.

I think most of the reviews make it seem worse than it is, and make it sound as if it's not worth your time for even a rental, but it is, I'm glad I did.

The game is for sale (39.99) @ Bestbuy this week. I think i'll pick it up, worth it? Bestbuy is the only way to go, if you can hold out a bit and check out their weekly sales.
