With the game about to come out, how come there are no reviews out there for it? Aside from OXM? I am real curious to see what they say . . .Comment

Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway is a video game that I can best describe as a schizophrenic masterpiece. You’ll see the best that games have to offer—often quickly followed by some of the worst. From my perspective, the good wins out over the bad across the whole thing, but the experience ends up as pockmarked as Matt Baker’s uniform should be.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

In fact, you’d better learn to enjoy it, because these are cutscenes you can’t skip. When you bought BiA:HH, you bought into Baker’s entire predicament, not just the run/duck/shoot/yell moments.
mandatory cut scenes suckComment

Re: Brothers in Arms 3 (X360/PS3)
Agreed, especially if you have to watch them everytime you respawn after a death. At least make it possible to skip them the second time through the game. If I ever play a shooter through more than once I skip the cut scenes nearly every time on the second time through.Comment

Re: Brothers in Arms 3 (X360/PS3)
Eurogamer Review - 7
We've since managed to play with a handful of people on LIVE, and here's the deal. Essentially there's only one fairly basic team-based multiplayer mode (playable ranked or unranked, as usual), and six medium-sized maps. Matches support either 14 or 20 players, with the usual options to toggle round and prep times, friendly fire and whether voice chat is enabled. Set-up is as simple as selecting from the available weapons (such as sniper rifle, machine gun and bazooka) and diving straight into a simple attack or defend match. Attackers must raise the flag, while, obviously, defenders must ensure it remains lowered. From initial impressions, there's not a huge amount to it, other than trying take out your opponents and all converging on the flag. Apart from the ability to drive a tank, the action is familiar team-based run and gun stuff, albeit with more emphasis on making good use of cover. A little underwhelming if we're frank.
At this point, Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway represents little more than a solid evolution of the original, as opposed to being a game which takes strategic World War II gaming to dizzy new heights. With an engaging but ultimately repetitive play mechanic at its core, it's a game which deserves a decent amount of respect, but whose charms wane rather than grow as the game progresses. With little more than a rooftop sniper interlude and a trio of tank driving segments to break up the flow, Hell's Highway is short on surprises after the first few hours. It's by no means a failure, but simply lacks the inspiration to make it a must-have.
Should make for a good rental.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

The Airborne soldiers that fought and lived through the horrors of World War II, and particularly that Operation Market Garden deserve respect, honor, and tales that highlight their sacrifices on the field of battle (as all soldiers do). Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway does an excellent job of presenting the story of these men, and is as compelling as many war movies. While many of the franchise's traditional gameplay elements return, such as the tactical controls of squads, so do the issues associated with those controls. Tie in some questionable visuals and AI issues, and you have a title that's good, but not great.Comment

Re: Brothers in Arms 3 (X360/PS3)
Just got this about an hour ago and I've jumped right into the single player game.
It's your typical Brothers in Arms...which is to say it's a great f***ing game.
The graphics and lighting effects are impressive, and the AI is very very impressive early on.
I just got finished with a heated firefight against some Nazis in a farmhouse. They run for cover, use their numbers to their advantage..the works.
The heavy machine gun is N-I-C-E. An MG42 will lay waste to anything and everything...wagons, wooden fences. You really have to make sure you are behind SOLID cover if you expect to live for longer than a minute.
Very very nice game so far.AUBURN TIGERS

Re: Brothers in Arms 3 (X360/PS3)
I have it at my desk, easy to say, I don't care about the reviews as the first 2 Brothers in Arms games are still 2 of my favorite war games of all time. It's the same formula, with an awesome gore factor. What's not to love?Comment

Re: Brothers in Arms 3 (X360/PS3)
One thing that is annoying is the fact that the loading screen freezes a bunch.
I've already had it freeze on me 3 different times in the first 3 hours of play.
Other than that..this game is awesome.AUBURN TIGERS
