I am lucky to be getting one, so I will enjoy that. I guess in my area people are not crazy about gaming as in other areas. I also preordered early so that helped. I hope you get yours soon though, if you decide to get one. Take care!

I pre-ordered in July, and just this past Thursday was moved up to first shipment due to a few cancellations. Best news I've gotten all year

It's short-sighted in the extreme to lose enthusiasm for a console based on its launch titles. All consoles have weak launch libraries, with 1-2 games at most that are good enough to convince the early converters to take the plunge. The 360 library is actually one of the best I've ever seen (the Dreamcast being the other), and it seems to me that there will be a large number of quality games available. Look at it this way- if you like sports games, you are going to get the best basketball game available in NBA2K6, the best hockey game available in NHL2K6, and the only football game available on any console, Madden 2006. In just about every category of game, there are quality titles available. There may not be one game that sells the system available at launch (you'll have to wait for Gears of War or Halo 3 for a game to move systems by itself), but you will have good games in any genre that you happen to like. Works for me.

Besides, I haven't had my Xbox for a month now, and I am fiending to play just about anything...

The enthusiasm of the fellas here has rekindled my enthusiasm. I probably won't be getting one for a few weeks, at least, but I am already hyped again.
