Re: Reports of systems crashing, doing odd stuff.

I haven't had any issues with mine. Today for example, it has been on for almost all day. Maybe 3 hours it's been off since this morning.
I have mine in is a well ventilated area also.

Agreed. Plus I'm not a fan of camping outside of BB .

Good ol' MS. That's what they get for rushing and trying to beat Sony.

Lucky for me I have yet to have one problem and I didnt even have to stand outside in the cold.

Cant believe this is the first console to launch with problems..

Mine has been played 8 hours with no problems. The back is warm but that is expected.

Weird thing is though, this happened twice already, when I turn it on with the controller I get a E73 or E76 error.

That's pretty low if it's true, like Sony can talk. My 360 already lasted longer than the PS2 I had before the one I have now.

LOL I just seen a laughable news piece on xbox 360 on my local fox 2 network..the news reporter called it "xbox 350" lol? Can you atleast get the name right but they had an interview with a kid that bought a system and now his doesnt work....but I mean this kind of thing happens especailly with video game consoles at launch.

Microsoft should counter with some unsubstantiated (although possibly true) claims that Kutaragi eats puppies.

I don't know if anyone else who has had heat problems has seen this:

Apparently if you suspend the power supply so air can get around it more easily then it won't overheat. I guess a lot of the overheating problems aren't the console itself but rather the power supply getting too how.

Exactly how much power does this ****ing thing use? You guys make it sound as if I'm gonna have a jet engine in my living room.

The power supply brick, and yes it is the size of a large brick, requires fans to keep it cool. Have you ever seen a power supply either than large or with built in fans? This puppy sucks power like nobody's business. The Xbox 720 is going to need a hydrogen cooling system if current trends are any sort of indication.

This is quite the assortment of problems, I'm not touching this thing for at least a year.

Seriously, this thing makes the old mainframe computers look power efficient.
