just because a few people here and there are having problems, just like the launch of every other console?

        Mine also.
Anyways I went through 3 PS2's and 2 XBOX's. So what's happening is not uncommon.
On a side note I haven't ever had any issues with Nintendo hardware except for the NES and having to clean the prongs once and awhile.

That's pretty low if it's true, like Sony can talk. My 360 already lasted longer than the PS2 I had before the one I have now.

I wouldn't believe anything posted on that website in regards to Xbox 360 vs the competition.

This is the risk you run when you purchase a console at launch. You get to experience the console first, but at a cost of money and at risk of defects. Ultimately, those who wait will probably have a more stable assortment of hardware to choose from, a cheaper price, and better software. However, they aren't playing it right now. Each person just has to decide which is more important.

I will back up the person who said they've never had a problem with a Nintendo console. I've had problems with Sony and Microsoft consoles, but never a Nintendo one (and I've never known anyone to ever have a problem with a Nintendo console). The closest thing I can think of is with old NES systems where you'd have to blow on the cartridge to get it to work. Just an observation.
