I'm not sure what's is worring you, I have my 360 and have no problems, Not eveyone is having problems. So if your worried about somthing going wrong with the 360, I say don't buy it an enjoy the hell out of it. Oh yeah, don't always believe everything you hear

Well I said it worries me a little bit. It's not like it's paralyzing me. I'm going to get one of the next gen consoles by summertime no matter what anyways.

Just writing what I read....

I am friends with the manager of a local eb games store and he told me that he expects them to start taking pre-orders for the ps3 next month. by then though they will be gamestop...

again, sony has stated that they expect to do a world wide launch since microsoft is already on the market. sony could have released it this fall the same as microsoft, but felt that they didn't have enough consoles to meet demand. ask a sony rep, I have.

After a few weeks of PlayStation 3 2007 launch date, Sony has confirmed the PS3 spring 2006 release date.


There has been speculation going on during the past two weeks, that Sony PlayStation 3 just might be delayed until 2007. Well, Sony has confirmed that all systems are go for PS3 Spring 2006 release.

The company has denied reports that the PlayStation 3 launch

will be delayed, and said it was still planning a spring 2006 launch for the video game console. The PS3 next-gen console is on track.

The launch of PlayStation 3 could be make or break for Sony as the company is ailing in other sectors of its business. The console is also the device it will use to push its own Blu-ray high-definition DVD format.

The Blu-ray technology is set to be rolled out by various companies in March 2006. The rival HD DVD will be launched around the same time and any delay to PS3 would give the backers of HD DVD, including Microsoft and Tohsiba, an advantage.

However, it's not clear whether Sony is talking about a spring global launch or just in Japan. We are thinking global at this time, but many things can change from now until Spring 2006.

These bugs and defective systems happen with all launch systems, and then you have the competition and Sony Fanboys creating defectiveXbox 360s. I was going to do a poll at OS on 360 problems/no problems but quickly realized it would be a travesty once some overzealous Sony Fanboys got wind of it.

I'll wait for a more reputable source to report the launch titles for the PS3. Atleast 6 of those won't make launch.

Only 3 have been announced officially. Warhawk, Lair, and Heavenly Sword.

according to gameshout.com, the playstation 3 will launch in the spring of 2006. sony confirmed this information and has stated that it will be a world wide launch much like microsoft. here's hoping!

I've heard, as recently as earlier this week, that the PS3 will not be released until next Xmas. I believe that to be true.

Kaz Hirai: We are still strategizing over that, and we've not come to a decision yet as to whether we want to with Japan first, the same time, three territories at the same time. Those things we're still looking at, and it's obviously a decision that needs to be made with us weighting a variety of actors, including how many units we can ramp up to, what is the manufacturing capacity, but, more importantly, what kind of software lineup are we going to have between first- and third-party in any of the three territories that will get the product first, being Japan, Europe, and the U.S. Which territory has the flow of software, the lineup of software? That will factor into it as well. So, basically, in a nutshell, it's too early to answer that question both from the manufacturing ramp up standpoint as well as the software lineup standpoint.
