At this point, however, it's challenging to find negatives in a game this pretty. This is the same if not better graphical quality as the footage that wowed people at E3 when it was running on PS3. Don't confuse this with Fight Night on PS3, however. According to EA's Kudo Tsunoda, "The PS3 [version] is going to be a totally different game, just because the Xbox 360 launches before the PS3 launches. So it's going to be much more of a kinda Fight Night 4 PS3 version and Fight Night 3 Xbox 360 version.

Sorry if I sounded like a complete fanboy *******. It's just something I read from what I thought was a legitimate source (1UP).

EDIT: And when I said "like Fight Night 4" I meant it could be mistaken as the next Fight Night (Fight Night Round 4) since the PS3 version will be a completely different game.

Fight Night on the PS3 will be FN4 because it will come out in sept/oct of next year in NA with the PS3 system. That it will be better than the 360 version is fanboy hyperbole

All of this "wait 3-4 months and PS3 will be here" is nonsense to get people to hold off on 360.

I don't think PS3 will launch untill the fall of 2006.

I say we'll see them here in the US early 2007, just a hunch. All reports coming from the media is that Sony is having yield problems as well if not more than MS. Even Larry Probst from EA shot down Sony's Spring launch saying he thinks later in 2006.

His guess is more educated than ours because he's making games for them.

granted that might be for japan, but that would put the ps3 here in the United States around october/november.

i still believe though that sony is going for a worldwide launch. don't want everyone else to get a jump here in america(microsoft especially) on their blu-ray technology.

EA said Fight Night 3 on PS3 will be better than 360 version. They said it'll be like Fight Night 4. Which is why people may think that the PS3 version of madden and baseball game will be better.

My little prediction is that Sony WILL well on launch day here in the US. Since many people that want a 360 can't get it til around January, that's the time Sony will release PS3 information. Then people will start to wait for PS3 since it's only a few months away.

*shrugs* I dunno. I could care less how much money these companies make.

WOW I read nothing about the PS3 being the better game or looking better, I think you need to read again, what I'm going to post says that the 360 version is looking even better then what the PS3 was showing from there tech demo at E3. So what are you talking about. The only thing I saw was, Fight Night might be a totaly different game for PS3 because its' coming out sooner. Read below. I must be Blind, because it say notyhing about it being better. Read what I post below, they say the 360 looks a lot better the what Sony said it was looking like on the PS3, so go figure.

Thanks to an appearance at Sony's E3 press conference, there's a bit of a perception floating around that 'next-gen Fight Night = PlayStation 3.' But as it turns out, the series will actually be heading to Xbox 360 first, and as we found out in a recent hands-on session with the game, it's looking just as good on Microsoft's system as the tech demo did on PS3.

In fact, in many ways the game is looking better. The officially titled Fight Night Round 3 on Xbox 360 is quite possibly the best looking game we've played to date, and that really only comes down to one key visual element: the character models. Forget Madden 360, forget NBA Live -- hands down these are the best character models we've seen in a game. The level of detail is evident in everything from the skin texture to the body proportion to the rippling cheeks that flap around when a player connects a big punch. This is the first game where the level of detail in the players is so high that they actually look like the infamous Madden "target video" characters on the screen.

I assumed Fight Night 4 > Fight Night 3. I'm not saying the PS3 version is better than the 360 version because PS3 is better, I'm saying that it's coming out later therefore EA Sports wants to make improvements to the game when it comes out again (Because it'll still be called Fight Night 3) on PS3.

Oh and the tech demo at E3? PS3 isn't even finished yet! That tech demo was like 1-1.5 years before PS3 comes out. C'mon now.

He is not sayng they will launch anywhere in the spring. he says it is too early to tell what they will do. If they do a worldwide launch I think it will be fall winter 2006 because they were/are not ready to launch in Japan in the spring.

I respect your opinion, and I think the PS3 will be a good system, but I would not go and say sports game will be better on the PS3, until I play I can't judge. I still think the PS3 online experience won't even come close to putting a dent the 360 onlines market. I also really couldn't care if the HD Linux or not, Just like I don't care for some of the Microsoft stuff in the 360, I wan't a gaming system not a media center, thats just my opinion. Only Time will tell.

Dont count 989 Sports out remember Sony still makes First Party Sports Games, Microsoft does not.

I feel like hitting my head up against a wall everytime someone can make a comment like FN4 > FN3, but we haven't played either game yet.
