Well there are many, many gamers who enjoy the old games for whatever reason and for them this is the first time you can get them legally, get them all in the one place, get them with 100% compatibility, on your TV etc...
Makes a lot of sense to anyone with half a brain.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

That's the funniest thing I've seen here for a while.
You get a sarcastic comment replying to pretty much another and it gets deleted.
You also get much worse day in, day out in this place... meh. Whatever. My theory is true I guess.Comment

- No 3rd party support

Truth is, Nintendo hasn't been competitive since I was in middle school...and that was damn near 10 years ago. You know it's bad when they even market the Revolution as an 'alternate,' console.
With that said, I'll still ****ing buy one.
I'm with this guy (+ add in the U-Force, Power-Glove, Mr. Robo to your list of Nintendo Failures). I'll probably still get one though as well.Comment

Originally posted by jmood88Lmao you take games way too seriously, there's no need to insult me over nothing. Why would you spend around $200(if it is that much) when you can go to a used store and buy a system and a lot of games for a lot less? I don't know about you but I still have every system that I have owned so if I really want to play those games then I will play the ones that I want on that system. Of course it's your money so you can waste it however you want
I am glad that you still have all the systems you ever owned thats cool, but not everyone is as fortunate.
And for myself, a gamer who grew up playing the original Nintendo, I would love to play the old games again. Maybe others don't, but then again they dont' have to buy a Revolution.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

When I bought a PS2, I had about 20-25 PSone games, and still do, but I haven't played them once since.
As for it being priced low.. Not sure I agree with that. $299 is about the price that the basic models of the other consoles are selling at, so if anything it seems to be priced right around the other consoles.
Nintendo is positioning this, hell I guess all of their other products the last few years too, as niche products, and that is all well and good. Variety can never hurt anyone. I honestly couldn't give 2 piles of dung about the gadgety controller at this point, but if others get a kick out of it, great, and my opinion could also very well change once I get it in my hands.
A couple people made mention of the fact that it won't display anything in HD. I agree that it probably won't hurt Nintendo much sales wise, but then again, they are going for a niche market, not the end all, be all home media solution. That being said, if they do launch at a $299 or close price point, you do have to consider the fact that the 360 DOES offer HD resolution and a lot more at a similar price point. No HD? Cool, but I think they should then launch it at a more competitive price. No one knows for sure what it will be, so we'll all just have to wait and see.
Whoever said that if you are buying a Nintendo machine as your primary system you are going about it all wrong was dead right, at least from my viewpoint. Nintendo does make really solid machines, and they have offered some great games, but they are best as complimentary consoles imo.Comment

With GBA, DS and GC Nintendo MAY(can't confirm, but almost am assured) beat sony in total sales 4th qtr. That's more than competitve, that's winning. MS doesn't come close to either
HDTV represents a tiny fraction of the market.
I do agree GC was a letdown with 3rd party again...but it wasn't nearly as bad as say the dreamcast.
Stretching things with the no sports stuff - mario tennis etc...
Wow man zelda was delayed barely a year...they are just as bad as kameo, ff/kh and perfect dark(skipped a whole generation).Comment

Re: Nintendo Revolution price confimed!!!
I'm more excited about the Revolution than the other two simply because of the possiblilities that the controller brings.
I've felt for a while now that the whole duel shock form of controller is played out. Everything's starting to feel like the same ol' same ol'. So I'm hoping, from what I've read and all that the new gaming innovations that Nintendo is offering with the controller setup can really bring a bit of spark back to our hobby.Comment
