I think $500.00 is a safe bet. The PS3 will be better in terms of bang for your buck, and will likely have a much better release than MS had for their system. And with less technical issues.

You are just assuming and have nothing to back that up. Don't turn this into a PS3/360 thread. We've had enough of those.

Yeah I think $500 is about right lets hope that's the case. I agree if the PS3 ships with the BR Drive it's a better bang for the buck but something I will never use.

Keep in mind the PS2 launch was kinda week as well and that's being generous. The only games I got were SSX and Tekken Tag, nothing else I felt was really great. Also the PS2 don't forget had it's share of problems at launch not to mention overheating and drive problems. My DVD drive failed within 4 months, fortunately I bought the Best Buy warranty so I was covered.

Keeping fingers crossed for the PS3 but the 360 is way cool as well.

Dude, my eyes opened wide when I saw what he posted....

I figure it's safe to get one now, they should have all the technical issues ironed out. I'll probably have one in time for my birthday next month.... I've been without my PS2 since late November, and I'm going through some serious gaming withdrawal.

Im getting one when Fight night 3 comes out...

Some of us at work have been playing this Pride FC game on ps2 at breaks and lunch... (nothing like a little violent fighting game to get the teststerone pumping).. but anyway, after we all saw fight night clips were going to start playing that when it comes out, instead of pride and well, most everyone at work has a 360 besides me.

So i better get one to start practicing...

Threadjack. I love me some Pride FC, but no threads for that game anywhere lol. Who is your favorite fighter? I am hoping with the new interest in the UFC with Spike TV and all, and new MMA game will be made thats good. Pride FC is good, but obviously could be better.
