Re: Playstation 3 Information, hardware, games discussion Part II
Flaw, I thought that this was coming in March and not launch. When I look on EB's website it shows a date of 3/1/07.Comment

I finally remembered where that PS3 font came from - Spiderman. Its been bugging me. I like the boxes though, not that matters a whole lot, but they look sleeker. BTW, I can't believe there was an actual Friends game for PS2.

Terrasoft solutions finally updated their page to reflect all the applications that will be available and or supported in YellowDog Linux v5.0 and it measures in at a whopping 2248 at the moment, how many for the PS3 we don't know but it has everything to function as a PC.
Packages included with Yellow Dog Linux v5.0
This database showcases the 2248 packages (RPMs) included with Yellow Dog Linux v5.0. Either search for a specific package or browse the catagories below.

Re: Playstation 3 Information, hardware, games discussion Part II
I'm in my right mind, and if I can get some great media functions out of my PS3 with some of the linux apps, I will use them and who knows what will happen. The PS3 is a set top box and or all in one media center, they have moved away from just a game console. Like it or not, your next Xbox will be the same, the paradigm has shifted for these companies(nintendo the exception). So too ask your question once again, their are many people interested in the linux functions, just because you're not interested doesn't make it a useless function. I'm not suggesting anyone give up ther PC or Mac, this is just an alternative.Comment

I tried to look back, but I couldn't find any info on this.
Looks like the the 80/20 rule for the PS3 on launch. 80% high end, 20% core end.

It seems to me using your PS3 as a web browser is gonna cause sony some unexpected headaches. People were out to brick the PSP with virus's."Good music transcends all physical limits, it's more then something you hear, it's something that you feel, when the author, experience, and passion is real" - Murs (And this is for)Comment

As of right now only Sony is using this idea, and IMO another reason why the PS3 is nothing more than a Swiss Army Knife of gaming consoles as PK500 likes to say. Or as I learned a 'Jack of all trades and a Master of none'.Comment

This isn't a bash on the PS3 Backbreaker...
But, with the web browser... 2 words Web TV. That's all.Comment
