Why would it be? It was the first "next-gen" console to come out.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

What does that have to do with what he asked or what I said?

Why are you getting so defensive? I had it too and it was great. Just making a joke. Relax for real.

I'd have to go with the PS2, though I must mentioned that I have never played on XBOX Live (unfortunately).

XBOX second, Dreamcast third, and Gamecube distant fourth. I hate the 'Cube's controller almost as much as the original gargantuan XBOX controller.

I don't see how that's getting defensive but whatever.

The thing with the Dreamcast is that, while it was leaps and bounds beyond the PSX and N64, once the PS2 came out, it was a nonfactor in the market. I personally can't put it with either generation, but rather I see it as sort of a transition console.

It actually outsold the ps2 when it came out but it couldn't sustain its push for long. And it's specs were pretty close, if not better than, the ps2.

Part of that reason was when the PS2 came out it was nowhere to be found, though.

Were the specs really that close? My memory is pretty foggy, but I can't remember any Dreamcast game that came close to even the first wave of PS2 titles graphically.

I'll try to find them but I remember that the dreamcast and ps2 were both close. The dreamcast also had some beautiful games.

The Dreamcast was every bit as powerful as the PS2. In some ways, it was more powerful. I loved that system.

I would put the Xbox as my fav only because of Live. Dreamcast would be 2, would have been #1 if EA would have been on board. PS2 is 3rd, Cube 4th.
