Originally posted by SPTOerm, isn't the dreamcast considered the PS1 era?Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Favorite System from Last Gen
I'd have to go with the PS2, though I must mentioned that I have never played on XBOX Live (unfortunately).
XBOX second, Dreamcast third, and Gamecube distant fourth. I hate the 'Cube's controller almost as much as the original gargantuan XBOX controller.Comment

Originally posted by KrioniqThe thing with the Dreamcast is that, while it was leaps and bounds beyond the PSX and N64, once the PS2 came out, it was a nonfactor in the market. Originally posted by jmood88It actually outsold the ps2 when it came out but it couldn't sustain its push for long. And it's specs were pretty close, if not better than, the ps2.
Were the specs really that close? My memory is pretty foggy, but I can't remember any Dreamcast game that came close to even the first wave of PS2 titles graphically.Comment

Re: Favorite System from Last Gen
The Dreamcast was every bit as powerful as the PS2. In some ways, it was more powerful. I loved that system.
I would put the Xbox as my fav only because of Live. Dreamcast would be 2, would have been #1 if EA would have been on board. PS2 is 3rd, Cube 4th.Comment
