      Where's Dreamcast?

Ehh... Tough decision... My favorite games are on PS2. But I like my Xbox alot and wish some of those PS2 games were on Xbox...

I'll just say Xbox. Xbox Live is the difference maker.

Madden 2001 for PS2 could be my most played game ever.GTA's, Resident Evil Code:Veronica, ICO, Devil May Cry, Socom, Metal Gear Solid. All blew me away for those first 2 years of PS2. However, once XBOX got rolling I never touched my PS2. PS2 out of the gate, but XBOX wins with a stronger finish for me.

ps2 definately, only because I am a crazy sports gamer and ps2's controller is 100X better than the Xbox controller... I hated the White and black buttons on sports games with a passion..

I feel like my XBOX received the most playtime out of all the systems that I have had last generation. I do agree that the PS2 was the winner for sometime, but then the XBOX eventually came steamrolling in and stole some of SONY's thunder. It is good that we do have choices in what games or systems that we could play.

I am a bit scared with next gen since it appears to be off to a little bit of shaky ground with the PS2 prices supposedly being very high and the 360 shortages/reported system issues.

I have learned one lesson. Not too jump on to a videogame system at launch anymore since the quality games don't start releasing a few months to a year later.

I hated the XBOX controller too for sports games at first, but I became more comfy with the S-contoller.

For me it was a tie between the Xbox and Gamecube. Both systems brought something different to me.

                1) Gamecube: Insane 1st party games! (Eternal Darkness, The Mario Franchise, Zelda, Animal Crossing). The system has been reliable as heck never a peep or worry it might break. I never even considered an extended warranty given Nintendo's past record on system reliability.

                2) Xbox: Awesome graphics, The Hard Drive (nuff said), great reliability. Great Selection of games and Xbox Live.

PS2 for the exclusives: Jak, Ratch, FF, Kingdom Hearts, and MGS and GTA before they were ported.

Having all the systems made it difficult to pick, since I used Xbox for all my sports games (ease of roster files), and I spend a LOT of time on Gamecube with Animal Crossing, Eternal Darkness (EXCELLENT game that all must try), and Zelda...plus my wife and I play a few Mario Party iterations still.

I'll probably be an early adopter for all three next gen systems. Have the 360 now and having a blast on Xbox Live. Here's hoping for a steady stream of games coming down the pipeline though.

XBOX. PS2 had a great lineup and a few of them games were hot but since I'm not much of a role-player, I sometimes felt the lack. After my neightbor bragged about how great an XBOX was, I fixed an XBOX off ebay and the rest was history. Plus, the graphics on the XBOX are better in most of the port sports games. Loved how we could play our music in a few of the games. Since I was late to the XBOX, the great games were already there. Plus that S-controller was so much sturdier to me. PS2 had a nice controller setup but I had no time getting use to that XBOX S-controller. Best and quickest adjustment I ever made and boy am I glad for it.......

                      1. Xbox- Xbox Live, best graphics, best shooters, hard drive. By far my favorite.

                      2. PS2- Probably the best overall library of games.

                      3. Dreamcast- Would have been #2 if it lasted longer. Had some great unique game, and it was a console that was ahead of it's time.

                      4. Gamecube- Never played it

My favorite SYSTEM is the XBox because of the hard drive, fast load times, sturdy controller... but that's kinda misleading because most of my favorite games are on PS2 and Cube.

From the choices above, I pick the XBox.
Since I'm a sports addict, the hard drive was a wonderful device to have.
I liked the shape of the Controller S instead of the PS pad (it always felt a little small). XBox Live was so well done that it made playing P2 games kind of crappy.

Don't get me wrong, I liked a lot of games that came out on the PS2, but I ended up buying more and playing more of XBox.

                          BUT...

If i had to choose my favorite system from the Last Gen, why not list the Sega Dreamcast??? I loved that system even more than the 3 above.

PS2 mainly for the library of games.

Xbox was a bit ahead of the times with their online connectivity. I do see online gaming becoming big in the next gen so MS may very well win out unless Sony brings out the PS3 with far less problems then MS had with the xbox rollout.

Gamecube was sadly pretty much irrelevent.

The dreamcast. In second is the xbox.
