Re: Official Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Discussion
Originally posted by kazoo76Yeah keep raising your INT and individual magic skills, every little bit helps. The most dramatic legitimate way to increase magicka will probably be through enchantments. There's a fair amount of +20 or so magicka items running around already, or with Grand souls you can make your own +24 items in the Arcane university. Best would be the transcendent sigil stones with +50 magicka on them, and since you are a high enough level they are available to you. Battle your way through a random Oblivion gate, just before grabbing the stone at the end, save your game. Grab stone, see what you got, if it's not the +50 magicka one reload and try again. Go through more gates til you get up to 9 of these stones. Use stones to enchant full suit of armor, two rings, amulet, and shield and you're looking at an additional 450 magicka.Comment

Originally posted by Tmacattackwow, thanks, ummm, would those bonuses be permanent?
You can only use the sigil stones to enchant a normal item, nothing that already has special powers.Comment

Originally posted by Quint75No, I felt HORRIBLE. I tried to talk to him, but he just kept begging for it. Just goes to show what good job they did with the characters in this game.
Uh I had to finish him off as well. I was just waiting to pull him out of there and run for daylight with my new friend. But there was no other way.
I was seriously depressed after that. I never have felt this intuned with a game before. Amazing.Comment

Re: Official Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Discussion
Quick question: I have finished the main quest, dark brother and am halfway through the theives guild and would like to join the fighters guild. My bounty is at 0 but my infamy is at 799 so they won't let me join. Is there anyway to lower than number enough so they'll let me join the fighters guild?Comment
