I don't think it can be converted to a Transfer kit compatible save. I've got XSATA and will try it, but I don't know if it will work.

Picked one up earlier today as well and have to say while it is nice to have updated rosters for 2k4, I really don't think its worth the $50 pricetag.

The major gripes I have with it are that it can be a pain to get connected but afterwards its fine. Also if I ever decided to get rid of my 360, I tried to unhook it, but after spending about 10 minutes trying to get it unhooked, I felt like if I tried anymore I would either break the device or break my 360.

I've seen several people say that but I was able to remove mine fairly easily (although carefully) when I sold it on Ebay. The contour of the device that locks into the 360 is made of somewhat flexible plastic. Remove the hard drive first and then slightly bend one end of the device (carefully cause you don't want ot break it) until you can unhook it and then do the same with the other side.

Yeah it is a flimsy POS, but I've enjoyed playing WE on the 360 with real kits and rosters so it's been worth it.

Re: XSATA - The Ultimate XB360 PC/HD transfer device

I was able to finally get the rosters for 2K4 on the 360 using XSATA and Xplorer V.4, Beta 5 just locks up my system. I used Griffy's roster file and boy do they make the game accurate up to trade deadline.

Without an XSATA it is nearly impossible to transfer XBOX saves to the 360. Fiddy and I have tried converting the X1 file based off 360gamesaves instructions on how to convert the XBOX file using Xplorer and the Datel Transfer Kit bypassing XSATA, but it very difficult.

Also guys, there is no way to copy an XBOX1 save from the HDD to a memory card so I could use the transfer kit to get that file posted here on OS. Using the XSATA, I couldn't find a way of stripping the file for 2K4 to the desktop.

Plus as nice of a tool the XSATA is for transfering saves, I'm not too happy with it or even feel comfortable leaving that thing connected to my 360 at all times. I had a few problems initially connecting it to the 360 and then connecting the HDD to it. I hope MS decides to unlock the file transfer system for the 360 so were not limited to what files can be transfered. I know their trying to keep people from cheating and all, but they could have devised a better way to transfer files back and forth.

This thing is not worth $50 for a piece of plastic, more so $20-$25 range.

Damn...Still comtemplating. As much as I love WE9 and ESPn 2k4, not sure if it's worth it for 50-60 bucks.

Vince, it all depends bro on how many games that you own or plan to own that are BC. At first I was ok with spending the $50, but when I took the XSATA out of the packaging and saw what I just paid $50 for I was kind of skeptical.

Then it took me a good 10-15 minutes to get the darn thing connected to the 360 + trying to get the HDD to snap on properly. It also doesn't help that transfering files is kind of a pain. Like I stated earlier, I don't mind MS locking the 360 from file transfers since it can cause all kinds of problems with hackers and what not, but I think they need to do something to allow us to transfer files with the transfer kit for the XBOX1 and 360 or even with the USB jumpdrives.

Does MS, SONY, and NINTENDO make money or get a cut of 3rd party accessories?

If it's offically licensed, yes the do, albeit small.
If it's not offically then it's just the buyer tossing the dice.

ASB 05. I know someone has a preety good roster file here. I think it's Jim.

I'm also hopefully for MVP, like I mentioned before. That's really the game that might make me wanna get this XSATA thing.
